Simpson Design + V8 drivetrain on eBay

Seems to be well constructed and looks clean.
In my mind some different rims & tires and lowered a bit would make it perfect!

For $28,995! Seems like a deal if you thought about doing this from scratch.

It gets to me when it looks like some serious money, effort and time went into a build yet key parts were cheaped out on. Tokico shocks? XXR wheels? A more or less stock 5.0 (238whp)?

It looks great, and maybe it's a good deal, but I'll never understand the reasoning of some people for picking just barely above average parts when they build a custom vehicle like this one.

    @ Jamie,
I think some people are just into the look, sound, and boulevard cruising. Especially if they are old school Merican car guys. They may not appreciate or understand the total handling and performance aspect.

I admire your car because not only does it have great looks but because it was done with overall performance in mind. And you drive it that way too!

I will have too much money in my car as I develop it, but the fun is in tweaking it over the long term.
Buying a finished car would short-cut that although it still could be tweaked.

I hear ya, just seems like builds like these are built to be "complete", or be all, end all kind of cars. I guess as long as it at least appears to be so, that's enough for some.

I know I wouldn't go to the trouble, effort, and money of doing a 5.0 swap and accompanying drivetrain only to make the power of a turbo car.

There's potential there. Like ya said, different wheels and tires, lower it some (Xida all the things!), and get a bit aggressive on the heads & cam package for the 5.0 (maybe squeeze in a ProCharger or build a stroker (or just yank the 5.0 and swap in the LS that should have been swapped in in the 1st place)), and you've got yourself a contender.

Nice find! I do not really dig the colour, but looks well-built and reasonably priced too.

Don’t worry. If you’re lucky enough to make it to 50 without cancer or a fused spine, you’ll be way ahead of the game. Besides, back hair isn’t all that bad.

that Simpson Miata Kit car looks great though, im sure everyone's vision is different, mine would be with Nakamae Seats, some SSR wheels, and some nice IRTB setup under the hood.

Are those xxr wheels a replica of something? I like the look but would prefer something authentic.
