I thought about a shed, but the back yard is so big and the fellas love running around there, I didn’t want to stick an eyesore out there.

There are some intriguing lift options available. I would punch out the back wall on the garage and go another 20-25 feet back if I need the room. The lot extends another 60-70 feet beyond it. That would be pretty damn sweet.

Options are good. Mine is just to have a concrete pour in the back and have a 10x20 shed delivered. No money for tearing down my garage and having a taller one built. Might as well bulldoze the entire house and starting over which, believe me, I’ve thought about.

Wow I am MIA for a little while and you get a NB and accomplish all this in a few months time, well done Steven! Love the red carpet and interior swap! Can't wait to see what Revlimiter gauges you get! Garage5 gauge rings would be perfect, hope George starts making them again, along with all his other great products. Was super grateful to get one of his last sets, still need glass from Revlimiter if he has any left.

If you decide you want nb2 taillights I would love to trade mine for yours, I actually prefer the amber turn signals on the nb1 taillights.

I had considered a separate garage or pad on the south side of our home (corner lot), but I think it’s better off as a patio because it is accessible from the walkout basement and my office. If I was doin prototyping, it could be feasible.

One of those steel garages or quanset huts may be the ticket. I do prefer detached garages with alley entrances for safety and privacy. Our home in Charlotte had that and it was AWESOME.

I do too. I must have a weird case because the orange centers in my tailights don't match. I swapped one out and same thing. All the taillights are OEM. There was a pair for sale just around the corner off a low-mileage car but I passed on them. I have too many other things to address before I worry much about that.

Remember, I brought that up with mine. I always wondered why they were different oranges.

Rings a bell. The local Miata breaker let me exchange one and it was the same issue.

I remember someone saying that Mazda did that on purpose but never could confirm it.

    Garage complete!

Re-organizing the toolbox was pretty tedious, but holy F, soooo much better!

I’m swapping a suspension for a friend this weekend (arms and coilovers), it should go so much smoother. I can tackle my car in the meantime, five weeks to go.

Update: past few evenings have been productive.

Installed new rotors, pads, stainless lines.

    Bled the entire system.

Installed FM front sway bar, end links, reenforcement blocks.

    And the front tow hook.

    Gotta keep movin’!

You might like...red transparent vinyl cut into the shape of the orange lens... and presto chango - red/white tail lights.

Also, what brake bleeding system is that?

I would be interested in that!

That is a Motive Power Bleeder. I bought it to bleed my BMWs, but I bought the specific adapter caps for the brake and clutch masters to Miatas. I have had problems in the past with the pressure (15psi) pushing fluid past the reservoir seals at the bottom (which is a mess), so I tried it out for the first time in a long time by adding a clamp as centered over the cap as I could. It held to repeated 15psi pressure cycles without leaking. I only had issues with the LR line, as I believe there was some debris in the lines that 15psi couldn't force out.

Basically, I dump a quart or fluid in the container, replace the master cylinder cap with the bleeder's cap, and pump it up to 15 psi. I go around the corners with my makeshift bleeder (a clear water bottle with a hole drilled in the cap, a length of clear tubing), and an 8mm wrench. open, close, repeat until the fluid is clear and no bubbles are seen. Re-pressurize as needed. The bleeder send fluid through the cap, so no need to keep refilling the reservoir.

Back to your garage for a moment; great job, man! I’m so tired of the other crowd’s aircraft hangars with multiple lifts and second-floor-apartment-complexes that it’s nice to see an ordinary guy’s garage with push mower and bicycle stowed away to make room for actually working on cars.
