Every boosted shorty antenna I've experienced has not performed as well as a standard, full length antenna. That said, I pretty much only stream music from my phone, so my power antenna is always down any way.

I started replacing my AC compressor and condenser today, but hit a small snag. The solvent flushing kit I bought came with a weird, non-standard fitting, so I can't hook it up to my air compressor. (I should have read the reviews before purchasing. Apparently, everybody has the same issue.) None of the local hardware or auto parts stores had the adapter I need, so I had to order it from Amazon. So I have her up on stands and torn apart until I can flush the AC lines and install the new (used) compressor and the new condenser.

I tracked mine yesterday in the rain. It was a BLAST!

I ran the car setup exactly how I would on the street. Aside from mr safety gear, I got in and drove.

What did you buy/do to your NB? 2018 edition

I finished off the majority of the trunk resto after a morning call.

I trimmed the moulded carpet pieces so I could access the shock adjusters and feed my driver cooling system harness to its connection when I’m at the track. I used more of the self-adhesive rubber C channel to trim out the areas of the panels I cut, and added a clip to keep the accessory plug out of the way.

I also packed the tool kit next to the spare tire until I find a replacement jack.

Thank you, Sir! Just a little bit of elbow grease, materials mostly on-hand, and a slow Saturday night/Sunday afternoon.

It would be lovely to replace that fiberboard wheel cover with an aluminum one. I've always had the idea of removing the spare/jack and making ti all storage back there. Maybe install a quick clamp that holds tire slime/mini compressor.

I did that to a few of the hatchbacks I had in the past, but I used sheet plastic. For storage, a composite mould made from the pan would be neat, than add compartments and lid. Might be heavy though.

I removed the jack bracket and the spare tire holder from the center. Cleaned things up, laid down some sound/heat insulation and then did a quick trim job on the battery cover and carpet. Eventually, I'll make something prettier for a trunk liner.

I have a plug kit with a mini compressor that I can throw in the trunk for longer trips. For daily use, I just rely on my cell phone and AAA card.
