    NA ignition cylinder wiring

    Hey All,

I am looking for this piece in the pic of an NA ignition cylinder. I am unsure what the wiring is, but I need one.
ANYONE know what it is? I am thinking for the "key buzzer", but I am not 100% sure. But I need a Mazda part number or a used one in great condition.

    Thanks.

Factory Service Manual has exploded views and part numbers.

    Then maybe this?

Page 6? Under "COLUMN", part #4?

    4 Lock Assy,
    IgnitionMan Trans
    90-94 NA01-76-290F
    95 NA75-76-290C
    96-97 NA75-76-290C

    OR part number 5:

    5 Switch, Ignition
    D001-66-151A

But, I dunno what year your car is, but you can go back to the first link above and look through the detailed wiring diagrams and find what you need.

    Good luck!

Thanks for the help. The part numbers listed are for either the electric switch (which I have a new OEM of), or the complete ignition lock cylinder. I have a complete M2 lock set which I want to swap in, but it is missing the black/red wired solenoid part. I could possibly swap my original in, but the white plastic end looks yellowed and brittle on mine. Darn 24 yr old part!

Did the M2 have a start switch on the dash or via key only? Regardless, the wiring diagrams will tell you what the wires you have should be for and the ones you don't.

It is a key only set. I bought the USDM electrical switch to put in. I was hesitant to use the JDM switch that came with it in case it may be wired differently, as it would greatly suck if I plugged it in and fried my ignition harness. The M2 set does not have the wiring that I am in looking for attached, but it does have the location for it. I am assuming that it is simply missing from the M2 ignition set.
