    NA8 Miata wanted

    I am looking for a 1994 or 1996 M edition, or a 95-97 Montego Blue 5 spd Miata.
Looking for a nicer, lower mileage, unmolested ride. Something in the SC area is preferable.
Any leads out there Please let me know.

    Thanks

Is this going to be an M2 laden build? If so, Starlight Mica would be exquisite

There was a 30K mile '96M in Phoenix for $7200, the ad is down now. Maybe someone on Miata.net spoke with the seller... it's a long shot.

Sorry, I should have done some googling before replying. For others, the NA8 is what those in-the-know call a Miata with a 1.8l engine. That was an upgrade from the 1.6l (NA6) that the Miata originally launched with.

While on the googler, I wasn't able to find any low mile 94 or 96M editions or any Montego's but I did stumble across this car. It is a 98, it is green and has a manual transmission. It appears to have low mileage with less than 37,000 kms (I guess that's like 5000 miles) but appears to be heavily molested. Maybe it could be brought back to stock?

It does have a lovely "tuned by Mazdaspeed" badge that I hear is super rare.

PS: since it seems you're looking for Special Edition type cars, there are a couple other options that look different from the stock models?

oldgrayleather: that first car is a Mazdaspeed C-Spec, I do believe. I'd pay a pretty penny for the engine... but not that much.

    Edit: It's $29,000 USD.

You have an inkling of my plans sir. I am just making reference to M2 as referring NB's because that is what I have been up against when looking for M2 parts. I often have at times been sent in the direction of NB roadsters.

Those are not molested, but massaged examples. To destroy a Picasso to make a Monet is just plain silly. But I do have parts that I will throw at the vehicle in a Pollock fashion...

Sorry for derailing your thread, my poor attempt at humor didn't work (and sorry to MLambert too, it is indeed a C-Spec that has a desirable engine and a polarizing body kit though this one is in better shape than any I've seen for sale).

I for one cannot wait to see you start your Pollock!! Since I'm always on the lookout for a minty Starlight Mica will let you know if I get any leads.

Perhaps to make amends, 97 Montego with 41k miles in CO?

    and a 94M with 12k

    Sooooo much sarcasm!

oldgrayleather: No worries. I should have picked up on that. Polarizing, indeed.
