Help me identify what this is in the engine bay (NB1)

It's the two fuse like looking things coming from the driver side harness. It's right behind the headlight, mounted on a plastic thing that shares a bolt with the intake box. It's to the right of the PS reservoir. Can I remount these somewhere to get rid of the plastic thing? Or do they need to be mounted on an isolated (not metallic) surface?

Not sure on NB1s, but they are headlights and AC relays on NB2s at the same spot. You can mount them anywhere.

One is an AC relay for sure, not sure about the other. IIRC, the mounting bracket is plastic, so it’s not acting as a ground, should be able to move them.

yes, ac relays. you can remove the plastic bracket, and bolt them onto the fender. mine were that way for a long time without issue

I believe part of the cruise control is attached there also.

Can also confirm they work fine not attached to that plastic bracket. I just realized mine are tucked away towards the fender.

Just amazing you can do this with just a verbal description.

;) Thanks everyone. Indeed a picture --> MSpaint mod --> upload to imgur --> post here would have required less words - but it seemed to be a decently "odd" part to call out vs..."that 10mm bolt to the left of the alternator" Will move around as necessary. Happy to start cleaning my engine bay (finally).
