Looking from the front of the car the fan on the left is the AC fan.
It takes a simple jumper connection to wire them both to trigger off the OE thermoswitch.
My NA was wired like this. With a coolant reroute and larger Koyo radiator, it took a long time for the fans to kick on at idle. I havent done it to my NB, but with the CSF aluminum unit I added (no reroute yet), it takes a long time as well.
