    Poll: What Colour to Respray?!

    Hey all!!

I'm fighting with what colour to paint the miata when I get the respray :lol

For some context, I bought the miata roughly 4yrs ago or so. Completely original and well maintained, every "mod" I've done was made with the intent of building on Mazda's original idea - think of it as an OEM+ build... Choose between the options above - if you have a better idea just say! Which colour and WHY?

This could be an interesting one

Any solid basic color. Metallic colors just look wrong imo...including my own Montego.

Even though white NA's are the best I would stay very close to the original color so that you don't need to worry about the door jams, inside the hood & trunk, and over-spray. Then think of a theme and modify the looks with stripes or highlights. Here is an example...

Velocity red is neat, and Flyin' Miata has an NA with a turbo currently on offer in that color. That said, depending on how in-depth you plan to go on the respray, retaining the original color simplifies things greatly (door jams, engine bay, etc).

Since you stated it's OEM+, I'd stick with classic red. It's a great color (red cars always polish up nice).

having just resprayed mine completely different, i'll say go with the original or a red variant. My choice would be True Red as found on the NC.

Keep it Classic Red for the reasons suggested and personalise further with some vinyl wrap.

Respray done less than 100%, will alway be ugly.
    So keep the colour.

Whatever color YOU want. Don't let a poll decide for you. It's your car.

    +1. Agreed!!

I'm simply trying to collect ideas and experiences from others who have had theirs cars resprayed, I've never had any paint work done. Just want to make sure I'm making the right decisions considering how expensive it can all get. I am leaning towards staying with the same classic red that's on the car. I doubt I'll go as far as painting the engine bay. Decisions, decisions...
You want a good car. I want a good miata.
