I recently acquired an M2 valve cover (chrome) and even though it was NOS it did have minor pitting but with some chrome polish I was able to bring back its glory but I could not stop there eventually everything i owned that was metal and not painted got polished.

The air-box can use a little more love but I need a more abrasive compound.

But I was so happy to clean up the mazdaspeed exhaust because I plan to put it back on. There's a super small hole in one of the welds but I can fix it no problem.

Here is what it looked like before i put it on the wire wheel:

    After:

I hit the flanges really good with the wire wheel they had surface rust but that came off no problem. I want to send the mid-pipe out and get coated and painted most likely silver.

And for a 20 year old exhaust this one is super clean practically no flaws considering its age and was on the car its whole life.

    Did someone say AutoX?

The 6th of January i will be at Autox at my hometown track homestead speedway the have it in the go-kart track and that makes it very easy to see where you're going and you can do a ton of runs so very worth your buck. But I have to get ready brakes are number 1 these will be done this coming weekend I chose to go with Pitwork (Fronts) and ENDLESS (Rears) pads. Rotors will be DBA Drilled/Slotted (Fronts) and Brembo OEM (Rears) my SS lines are APP and the quality is ridiculous very well made and highly recommend them.

I have needed to change the Trans and Diff fluid since I've received the car so for that I am going with Redline. Also I have read this is a problem with the earlier miatas but if I'm in gear and let off the gas it sounds like a grinding noise coming from under the car and it never ever makes a noise at any other time, only when I'm slowing down in gear. So if you know a fix for this please tell me.

Finally I'm doing a lot of seal maintenance starting with the valve cover and shifter and i will be swapping in the A-Spec short shifter which I am really looking forward too using.

I have read countless forums with this same problem saying that my transmission maybe out of alignment with my PPF and I need to loosen the PPF bolts on the trans and lift the trans slightly and re-torque the PPF bolts to 80 Ft.Lbs. Also read this noise is very common with the NA6 Miatas.

Yes, the PPF needs aligned, quite often the diff is pointing nose down slightly so just lift diff nose a couple of mill and torque it up. It is very common and a super easy fix, obvs easier if you have a ramp and aren't doing it in the street ( but we all have to make do with what we got. ).

It is relieving to hear its a common issue. As one of the forum members said "Sound like a bunch of ball bearings are spinning inside my transmission." I have stands so it shouldn't be too difficult.

Well this was a bummer. Ever since the Eunos is a 1993 it should have the 1.6 brakes. but when I went to install the brakes the brakes did not fit and the old rotors were bigger than the new 1.6 rotors I had purchased. So Saturday morning I asked my contact in Japan and they reached out to the original owner and last night they said that the car came with 1.8 brakes. So if anyone wants Endless rear pads and OEM Brembo rotors im asking $150.

Jeez finally I can update this thread.

So during the holidays I did some traveling and not much buying (of car parts at least) and after the holidays I was getting my finances together and realized I need some odds and ends for the car. First up is something i have needed to do for a while simple exhaust hangars. Got these from Bill at Miataroadster and they got here as fast as holiday shipping times would allow.

    36157BD0-5579-4DC6-B37F-FBB58C52F674.jpg

The exhaust sits so much nicer and has more of an angle to it.

    4A4593E9-FC4F-472D-A9B6-0E86985D330A.jpg

Also if your noticing the picture quality is a lot better its because i have upgraded from iPhone 7+ to a Nikon 7500.

    1968560E-C927-4025-9FF7-4E24380133C1.jpg

and here is just a list of stuff i need to do.

Header needs to come off to fix the flex pipe I have an exhaust leak.
The Brake situation didn't go as planned so I need to Re-buy a whole new brake setup.
I need to get tires for the MS01R's
I want to have the supercharger rebuilt.
