yea in some of pitcrews old ads you can see they sold that style mirror. got a pic of the underside of the mirror base? i have some mirrors that are for sure 1001 and they have a solid base, unlike the runabout which have a hollow base.

Took advantage of a rainy day and fixed the top latches.
Being 24 years old they were worn and a bit sloppy – even with adjustment. I did not want to spend cash on new units as I have to allocate car money elsewhere on the car.
I replaced the originals with FM aluminum billet adjustable top latch buttons.
They work well and are adjustable by a small set screw (not pictured).
I also bought new OEM plastic top pegs since I was working on the top latches anyway. Both of the pegs looked good until I got a better view after removing the latches from the top. Both were cracked!

Ya FM is probably buying them from here:

He has been making them for years(I believe they have even been discussed on this forum). They are cool either way.
Edit: Ya I posted a link to them a little over a year ago my memory lapsed

Getting around to installing some of the parts that I have collected for this M edition.
The Racing Beat header was finally put in. I cleaned off the minor dirt/grease and finger prints with rubbing alcohol left after installing it while wearing some nitrile gloves. The RB header literally just slid into place without any problems. Kudos to RB for such a great header design. I almost do not want to start it.
I also purchased new Bosch O2 sensors. I had to have an O2 bung welded into the intermediate pipe of an older HKS exhaust system that I had in storage and really wanted to use.

I had it on my other roadster several years ago, it is really no louder than the stock exhaust.
But it is a free flow exhaust which was as good as the borla that I had taken off (w/o the borla highway drone noise).
I had wanted to get this HKS exhaust, but not knowing what the heck is going on in America today, I chose to save some $$:

Plus I like the look of the exhaust tip, which is similar to the HKS dual tip exhaust that I had on my 240sx - pic from when it was on my 1994 miata:

Since I am waiting on a pair of rear hooks from Chad (Thanks Again!) and the rest of my new muffler hangars from Rockauto, I went to storage and spent several hours sorting through stuff trying to find a couple of things to add. Used front and rear braces were found. The silver one is a Carbing aluminum brace that mounts to the front frame and rear of the trans. White one is a rear brace to 'box' the rear frame. Since I have them both on my black roadster, I figured it was time to put them on once I get the other stuff.
I also had time to replace the stock rear sway bar rubber bushings with urethane units and also added a pair of Racing Beat ends links. I have a new tubular RB front sway to add once I am done with things on the ass end. On a bit of a roll I guess.
