    Taxi - Supermiata Project Car.

Taxi is evolving. We're moving on from the ratty yellow NA6 to an NB2.

Previous Taxi was a track rat ridealong car. Taxi II will be more of a 80/20 "dual duty" Grand Touring ride-along giving track car. Target is MRLS 2018 debut.
    Previous Taxi thread here: http://mazdaroadster.net/showthread....819#post198819

Primary focus is to retain full street comfort and civility while packing in as much track performance as possible. The new donor is a very clean black '03 Sport with great A/C and 102k on the odo.
We searched for a month or so for an ABS and Cruise Control equipped, clean NB@ locally and were unsuccessful. We're swapping in the OEM cruise control and will be opting for a non-Mazda ABS system. We'll start a separate thread for the Teves mk60 ABS conversion. This is OEM stuff from BMW E46 and is becoming increasingly common in NASA ST racing and amateur endurance racing.

Really curious to see how the ABS is done. This will be an interesting build.

    +1

Running an NA6 with no ABS, that's a really interesting idea using the ABS from an E46... Depending on your results (and guidance photos), I'd be tempted myself

    Roll on updates
You want a good car. I want a good miata.

The yellow OEM hardtop moved over from Taxi1, along with a grungy GV replica lip, and a carbon miata trunk lid with integrated spoiler.

The 205/50 RE71Rs on Charcoal 15x8" were swapped on as transit tires until we get the car back from wrap and swap on the Xidas and 9" wheels.

At AeroWerkZ getting wrapped. They've done all of our project car wraps, going back to 2016 when we got the ND1

The front bumper is worse than photos make it appear.

The lip is getting wrapped to match. Charcoal wheels might not be the only permanent set. I know a wheel guy...

    Nice progress, Dan!

Perhaps a black accent stripe to pickup the other black elements would be appropriate.

    As a quick demonstration:

It looks yummy, however I agree with KFJ's suggestion. Also, if you are keeping the wheel colour (which I like), blacked out headlight buckets would indeed look the part.
