    £140/$182usd Scrap Heap Challenge

Hello everyone, just recently registered but have had mx5/eunos' for the last 5 years now. I still have my first one which is used as a Targa/Rally car.

Ive been on the hunt for a while to try and get myself a cheap runabout. A good friend had this for sale and after insulting each other, ringing him offering terrible money and generally being a pest i got this minus the wheels and seats for £140.

    Car is as follows
    1.8 uk car
    LSD
    Super pro polybushes up front
    scorpion stainless exhaust.
non branded lowering springs and kyb shocks
    cone air filter
    awful camoflague material covered trim
the best ever airbrushed bonnet to grace an mx5

plans for the car are to weld up a few rust holes in below, MOT (road worthiness test) and a fresh coat of paint.

I have a mazdaspeed roll bar on my parts shelf which will get fitted, KYB SR Special shocks and AutoEXE lowering springs and an original momo steering wheel.

Purchased a set of 14" panasport pro rally wheels on ebay at the weekend and need to find a set of standard tail lights.

I also havent told the wife about this one yet as this is mx5 number 3, along with a peugeot 205 gti rally car, ford escort mk2 rally car and a lada 2105.

    £140 is quite the bargain.

You say plans include a fresh coat of paint - you're not gonna paint over the bonnet are you? The baboon is awesome!

Got the few problem areas underneath the car sorted out in the evenings after work and the car undersealed to keep the dirt and rust at bay for another while.

While I had the car on the lift i fitted a new set of brake discs and pads - ive just kept these OE spec for now.

I was having my daily browse on ebay when i found some new KYB AGX adjustable front shocks for a bargain so I decided these would pair nicely with a set of AutoEXE springs that I removed from a Eunos S Special which I turned into a Rally car.

I also found a cheap set of 14" Panasports which will eventually see the centres painted a more neutral colour.
