    Marc,

Sorry i was asking if the one in the picture is indeed a roll bar or a fake style bar? This miata is for sale, and it may sway my decision.
    Thanks,
    Jimmy

Whoops haha! but that is a style bar and I recommend removing it. because God forbid something happens and your car flips the bar can fold and crush you

That will flop over on top of you, its purely for looks.

If you want a quality Rollbar for protection check Goodwin Racing, they sell many quality rollbars

I have a Bethania Garage M2 Hard Dog Hardcore Hardtop double-diag for sale, as well as an M2 Deuce centerbrace.

EDIT: Doesn't really help you thought since that's an NA. Shame.

OP's picture is definitely a Style Bar. That will fold and snap if you roll, and probably provide a greater hazard in the event of rolling than not having one as it's another thing your head could hit.

    Style Bar

    ROLLBAR

Skip to around the 1:10 mark.

I know the original post is to find out if the picture provided is a style bar or rollbar, but hopefully the above illustration is a testimonial on why you'd only buy a rollbar.

    HTH!! D

I went this route. It’s a four point mount, but not race worthy. Still gives protection. Sold by Hard Dog.

I keep nagging BBF about when they're sorting their next 6 point out - I see it as "insurance" rather than a rollbar
