    1991 BRG Miata worth?

At the beginning of the year I purchased a second Miata. 1991 British Racing Green Miata M Edition. My white Miata was going to be my “project” Miata that I could do anything I wanted to do to it such as flares, K24, etc etc. The BRG was going to get the more classic and simple modifications. Fast forward to today just kind of ran out of inspiration and motivation, and the unfortunate news that I have to now buy a new differential and driveshaft for my BMW race car.

Anyways, the car is a 1991 M Edition with 49,xxx miles. No rust, no dings, no dents. Has OEM original hardtop and tonneu cover. Not sure if it makes a difference, but I have ALL service records since 1990. Also have original bill of sale and all that. What do you think it is worth?

Not having a reference for condition, I paid $5500 for my 1991 SE in 2014 with very similar mileage and included HT and Tonneau. Mine had tatty seats and some paintwork that needed attention.

There's a Pricing & Dealer discussion thread on another forum, where folks often get excited about the SE, LE, and M edition cars. The most recent one discussed there is listed at $7250 with 10K less miles and hasn't sold yet, just for reference.

They're a neat, historic color combination, but with that said... they did sell almost 4,000 of them.

Location and season has a lot to do with your pricing. As mentioned in another pricing thread, these low-mileage, special editions are difficult to price but if you want to get the most for it, look at premium selling sites, like BAT. This time of year (here) is a buyer's market. Spring/summer gives way to a seller's market.

Depending on documentation, $8k wouldn't be unreasonable, but you want to get it in front of people looking for this particular car.
