So the day after picking her up I stuck on a hardtop as a temporary measure since the soft top roof was toast, and I then also fitted my Watanabe RS8 Wheels these are 15" with an ET25 offset and 7J. Gave her a quick service and took her off to get a safety check and quick photo op.. Needless to say despite not having run for almost 15 years, a quick oil change and fresh tires she sailed through her safety, amazing given how long she was asleep for.

The next thing I did was to fit my Zoom fuel filler flap, then add my RS*R exhaust and Jackson Racing Muffler system and moved on to the interior ripping out the old and installing part of my new interior which is from an S-Limited ( Same Spec as the USA Spec LE ) then fitted my Zoom Interior Aero Chrome Rear View Mirror, Nielex Hazard Toggle Switches and a Panasonic CQ-TX5500 Stereo with a JDM Graphic Equalizer ( Sorry about sucky photo but you can see it if you look close and getting rid of the manual mirrors which involved drilling my doors!! Eeek but heck it looks good

So why the factory size side mirrors? IMHO, the OEM size mirrors(mostly the NA but even the NB a little) look very awkward in size to the miata and most the aftermarket options look properly portioned to the Miata. Granted smaller mirrors but with convex glass I don't think you sacrifice much in the way of visibility.

I understand what you are saying, personally I like the OE Mirrors not least they are also electric which the mirrors on my car originally weren't. I know there are lot's of option out there but I have always prefered this shape. unlike the MK2 Mirrors which personally I think look stupid on a MK1 because they look droopy and were designed for the the profile of the MK1 door. My OE Chrome electric MK1 mirrors fit correctly.. I'm rambling lol.

    Basically I like them

You will see as the story unfolds there are many upgrades to show and I think it pulls my vision together to create my interpretation of the M2 - 1006

Next I fitted the "Forte" bumper, it's very similar to the Racing Beat bumper but more with a more aggressive lower lip more. then after unboxing my not overnighted parts from japan ( because let's face it, thats just not possible at least in the UK lol gotta thank Fast and Furious for that saying ) Oh my gosh how sexy is that Garage Vary trunk lid.. Be still my beating heart.. ( actually while I am here, what the hell does that saying even mean.. Be still my beating heart!! .. Cause like yeah i want to have a heart attack lol.. ) anyway... Off to the bodyshop.. there is really in my opinion one bodyshop to go to in the UK who specialises and knows these cars like the back of his hand and that is David Burkinshaw of Deepcar Autobodies, his work is amazing along with his partner Emily who also likes to muck in and they are a great team who are well thought of over here in Blighty.

As you can see my Eunos is rot free, quite rare finding them this clean in the UK due to all the salt we use on our roads here.

So David and Emily worked their magic and as you can see from the last pic she looks pretty awesome in my mind.

Next time I will update you on "Dash's" 1st Car show and mine also. We took a Prize but that was down to David and Emilys hardwork not my abilities at cleaning my car lol.. Enjoy.

Probably got these photo's out of order a bit, don't have my glasses on lol and I don't want to bore you with every photo.

So since that rebuild, "Dash" has won 2nd place in the modified class at the UK National MX5 OC in the modified class, then I fitted my Jackson Racing Super Charger kit, it really is lovely, the low end torque transforms the car and as she has a Toda Flywheel and Exedy Stage 1 Clutch she still loved to rev her little head off.

Sadly I decided to have the charger rebuilt before I started to consider a smaller pulley for more boost and so I sent it off to a local "Specialist" and after what was the most painful of waits including many phone calls and visit's to the shop I realised something was terribly wrong, the "Specialist had damaged my supercharger and so that chapter ended, my hopes to have her running boosted again died.

Some months later I was driving up the road and while stationary at a set of traffic lights waiting for them to turn green and with a massive truck behind, the lights had just turned only to discover that the forward motion i was experiencing was not of my own doing and that the truck behind me had just driven into to the back of me. ( Pretty horrifying to be honest as he admitted he forgot i was in front and he could not feel he had hit me at all, thankfully the damage was superficial)

To cheer myself up I bought the M2-1006 Garage Vary Hood and imported it at eye watering cost.

Thank you, I do love it but it does have some practical faults, It actually doesn't give you more space as there is bracing inside which means deck height would be similar to stock. I don't want to drill it to fit windshield washer jest, so have to think were to locate the jets.

I can't fit the PitCrew Wiper I bought as it will foul the bonnet when you open the bonnet so that will be for sale.
