The clutch is their organic sprung. 290 ft/lbs is plenty for a 1.6. Last time I couldn’t get much more than 220 ft/lbs at the wheels at 14 psi IIRC. So 290 crank is a plenty wide safety margin. Got it from Supermiata directly

The ACT streetlite flywheel was on sale for Black Friday from ACT directly. Was super cheap. 30% off I think

Not much work done lately, the daytime temps are around -18°C or -0.4°F. Today was a bit warmer so I could fire up the propane garage heater. Got the clutch in. I used Loctite blue on both the flywheel and pressure plate bolts for overkill. Flywheel is a 13.9 lb ACT streetlite and the clutch is a Supermiata organic sprung

Somewhere else, I read an accusation that Supermiata may include cheap bearings. I want to state that this is NOT the case, both the throwout and pilot bearings are top quality and made in Japan items.

I look at your interior and I drool!!! I have a 1997 and it looks horrible in comparison even if it were mint (which it's not). The quality of the carpet alone, the instrument panel without the passenger air bag and the upper door panels. I can't wait til mine is done. I want to get those Coco mats as well, but because I'm going to go with red carpet, center console along with red in the horizontal piece where the air vents go as well as the upper door panels and the rest tan. (after I switch instrument panels) I want to get (if they will make them for me) the opposite in the coco mats tan with red to contrast more with my tan. I know that was a mouth full, but you car interior DOES INSPIRE ME!!! WOW!!!

Thanks for the compliments. I can't take too much credit. The interior is mostly stock 93LE for now. I don't want to overdo it, but I'll add a few more touches later this year. Funny you mention, before I got them, I use to think Cocomats were the most overpriced mats I ever saw. Then I got them. wow, just fantastic quality. I'll never use anything else

Back to a quick update. Lots of work, very little pictures. Motor and tranny back in the car. Heat wrap installed, and manifold and turbo installed. I'm wavering between a chromed or wrinkle red valve cover.

Sorry for the picture quality so far in my build thread. Been too lazy and using an old iPhone. Once spring rolls around, I'll take much better pics with a SLR.

I'm insanely jealous of your engine. Loving your build, when can we get more sound clips of your custom exhaust?

I remember chatting with another member on here (I forget who) who picked up the last available one from Simpson. Apparently, this member reached out to Jim Simpson to get info on it and Jim said he might still have one on a shelf somewhere...

Thanks Adam, I have your vent rings and nose badge under that protective cover. Will be ordering more products soon. My wallet hates your store

I got it used off Ebay cheap. Seller was light on details, but I think it's either Simpson, or Jass. It feels substantial whatever it is.
