    Best exhaust for the BRG

So now that I have the BRG I am figuring out the best route for it. I want to do a super proper British sports car style and I want to know your thoughts on which exhaust I should get. It needs to sounds vintage but I don't have much experience with a bunch of exhausts. I am leaning towards the pitcrew due to its style but I am just curious on everyone's input on what exhaust they think would be the best.

Mona and Ansa were popular exhausts used on many English and Italian sports cars, but I'm not sure if they're available for the Miata.

I have a Borla single exit on my beater 93LE and have always been complemented on its sound.

I have heard an ANSA in person and they do sound nice on the Miata but they are prone to rust.

I’ve got the Pitcrew on my BRG. It’s a lovely sounding exhaust and fitment is what you would expect from Pitcrew. Another option is the Corn’s version 3. Very vintage, very high quality, slightly less taxing on the wallet.

    Best exhaust for the BRG

    Custom.

A good shop with experience making custom exhausts can make what you want, get the sound right, and make it 1 piece (fewer fail points for leaks) and better fit. These shops will place everything right before welding it all up. The better you can describe or play how you want the car to sound at different speeds/loads, the better it will be.

I gotta be honest, that Corn’s exhaust looks like a Flowmaster 2/1 muffler with an extra tail pipe welded on

Yeah custom would be really cool. I was even considering titanium I know it’s expensive but I really want to go as proper as possible with this car. And yes the Corns does look like a flowmaster.

I bought the type 3 because I wanted the dual tips. Had contemplated going custom to get an early 240z stacked approach but decided against it. The 3 is quieter than the other Corns exhausts and I liked it well enough when I installed it but love it with the Zoom bumper. fwdtamiya has the PitCrew on his BRG if you want to see pics for reference.

Yeah I love the look of the corns on yours looks really cool and different for a miata but the pit crew looks good because I love it’s low hanging center exit style. An exhaust is down the ways for this build so I have time to think about many options

I love this video I have watched it a couple times sounds so good especially with the SARD cat which I will most likely get down the line. and I actually have the axle back portion of the Legalis R all I need is a new Fujitsubo mid-pipe and funny enough TEIN can get you the midpipe but they want like 450 not including shipping and I might aswell put that towards an new exhaust or another mod.

I can agree I used a Legalis-R on my 97 for almost 2 years and I loved it. From the outside was super subtle and more of a pur than anything in the car however was just way too quiet but I did have the original cat. There are a ton of options im considering. I even have my Mazdaspeed Exhaust off the Eunos in my garage I just need to fix a pin hole leak and get the Mid-Pipe coated so it doesn't rust.

Fujitsbo RM-01A is what I’m currently running. Might be a little too loud for your BRG build but fitment and quality is top notch. It should be good if you run it with a cat. Need to put together a Miami meet so that you can check it out.
