    Mazdaspeed Fiberglass Racing Seat $1200+shipping

This seat includes Mazdaspeed extruded aluminum seat mounts that bolt to the factory sliders and permit two seat heights. The seat shows little evidence of wear except for the back which is scuffed from safety harness hardware and a roll bar. The yellow residue around the exterior of the lap slots is an adhesive tape which can be easily removed, if desired, with an X-acto or adhesive remover.

I am 5'10" and 175 pounds and found the seat quite comfortable even on 6-hour drives between Minneapolis-St. Paul and Road America in Elkhart Lake Wisconsin. I was doing this in my early 60s with some arthritic degeneration in my spine, and would invariably arrive with my back feeling better than when I left. The seat's ergonomics were near perfect for me.

I'd be happy to answer questions or PM additional photos on request. Thanks for looking.

Would it be bad of me if I use this in my house to watch TV with? I really do love this seat though

No, it wouldn't. I did that for a week or two with my Eunos Driver Option seats before they went off to the upholsterer.

when these were available back in 1996 they cost $880 from Mazdaspeed Japan, have not see one for sale in MANY years, and dont expect this one to go cheap either.

Yeah I was teasing around TBH it is pretty moderately priced for what it is. I am surprised BO hasn't picked this up for his fancy C-SPEC Build.

i had one in not as decent shape, nobody wanted it for $600. its very skinny, will only fit a limited amount of people, and single seats can sometimes be a tough sell.

If I didn’t already have a set of RS-Limited Recaro seats I would have already bought this for track days

Swung by today for a test fit. Ed is an incredibly nice guy and I loved the seat and chatting with him. Great fit for my frame at 6’, 175 and a 31” waist. Didn’t have the right bolts on my Nakamae seats when we tried to swap the rails but estimating (planted in the seat floor with no rails) wasn’t confident with my helmet on that I’d clear the broom test.

If Bo can't fit, I would be surprised if I can get one cheek in.
