Miata Roadster chequered / checkered Interior Floor Mats

    hi guys

does anyone know of a supplier in the US that makes chequered mats to fit a mk1 miata/mx5

like these ones on yahoo auctions....

    http://page15.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/j...?u=;tarzan0251

searched long and hard in the UK for someone and am coming up empty handed!

used sets of the chequered OEM mats go for around the £60 mark in this country so im trying to find an alternative, i really want red/black chequered ones.

so if you can help with this that would be great

im tempted by the ones on yahoo but the pricing is a tad high once shipped

not a massive fan of the weapon r ones, being a universal fit, the fitment tends to be crap!

if i could communicate in japanese i would try and arrange to buy a few sets from that supplier as i know there is a demand for them in the UK and reducing the shipping by buying more would make the price keener

Nobody in the USA makes a version that is "fitted" for Miatas, but in Japan you have a couple that make them, you found one of them, and those are actually not bad quality, i have some of their tan mats. the other company that still makes them is KAROism, but you are looking at $300 USD with how crappy the yen/dollar is right now. Go with the ones on the YJP auctions and you wont be disappointed.

Rod @ Tetsuya or Bill @ MiataRoadster can get those for you pretty easy!

I can't see it being that far off for the LHD cars either though, the mats have pretty straight lines, I've got 2 pairs of Eunos Roadster Mats at the house, (and 2 more on order) I will go put mine in the Merlot and let you know.

Here are the aftermarket ones I got in Japan

They look and fit top notch just like the OEM ones from Japan!! If you are super picky these are the ones to get for the price!

Here are the OEM Brown mats I got from Japan, they came from a 1991 V-special (BRG) that was getting parted out, only had 16K miles on the clock, got the door panels from the same car.

Here they are installed, they fit perfect!

Wouldn't mind seeing some pics of the weapon r ones in a miata. They don't look bad but i'd like to see how they fit.
