    patents pending?

hey guys, was searching ebay for an LE wing and under "miata spoiler" this came up:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/90-97-MAZDA-...item27c32e7c9c

i'm not sure if you guys have a patent or any sort of rights to this but you might want to look into who is copying it

There are multiple rip offs out there. However from reviews I have seen, they are thin and cheap.

Cost for filing a patent is a dollar. Getting the verbage correct is a bit more. Design patents are easy to circumvent, utility patents, not so much.

It's not really the same product. It might look the same but with those extra couple of holes in them for mounting, they have enough evidence for the court to say it's not the same product. I deal with this type of stuff everyday, and actually took one case (Chinese knock off aero distributor) to the court and it was just big waste of money.

^^^This is the straight truth. A few people who have seen the knock off in person have been coming to us to pick up G-Wings lately. We have explored patents, and are patent pending on multiple aspects of the G-String.

There was someone at the WFC meet with an ebay wing. Too bad I didn't see it until photos of the meet started emerging online. I'm curious as to how bad it is in person.
