RyanxStorey's Turbo build (if you'd call it that)

Bought this in June of 2011.

Met Jim (CNY) on clubroadster, he had the NA I had been dreaming of. We talked and a few weeks later I made a day long drive to Northern New York.

    Tapping it for the drive.

    Had to.

    Somewhere in Pennsylvania.

    4 am. Adamvanxxx
Pics of the NA after I got it.

    Then I made some changes.

Pulled random shit out that wasn't needed, also made door cars and door pulls, centered the gauges on the middle of the dash. Also tinted my tail lights red, turned out shitty but it was during winter so blah.
Time for an Intercooler. Oh yea this had a JR m45 supercharger pushing 5.5 psi.

Then people started talking shit about how I bought a built car so this started happening.

I sold the supercharger and the wheels.

Bought a t25 sr20 turbo for the car. Along with all the parts needed. Also bought wheels and a shit load of other things. She's got a complete makeover.
    Rev gauges

Some nice projectors from go miata.

    Getting ready for flares.

    Safety first.

    AK V2 flares 527 15x8.25 with 205/55 kuhmo ecstas.

Also bought planet miata side skirts, garage vary lip, and smoked turn signals.

Garagestar shift knob and revs vent rings.
Then it was time for the turbo

Nice day out so no top.

Then it got even nicer. Our so I put this together.

    I love the ProjectG G-string.
That pretty much brings me up to know and I still have a lot to do.

Next few things that need to be done are paint the flares, change the oil drain line for the turbo, up the boost, make a center console, purchasing NA door cards, buying eBay tail lights to tiny red. Interior needs more sprucing up.

I'm glad you decided to paint the flares, cuz I was gonna ask lol. Body-color would look way better. Lot of work put in the car, I like it.

I have NA door cards but no idea what shipping would cost.

Dude your car is so amazing. I love everything you have done. What color are you painting the flares? (or did I miss that?)

Glad to see you are making this car your own, even after it had some extensive mods. What made you wanna change from supercharged to turbocharged?

    I'll answer that for him: Because 1.6 + M45 = suck.

    Thanks guy.

I'll be paint matching the flares once I fix my issues with the turbo. I'm in the middle of replacing the wastegate because the one that came with it is junk and won't open the flapper. I also need to replace the oil return line. The one that came with it was old and cruddy and I chanced it to see if I could get away with it. Well no it leaks lol, so I have a replacement for that as well.

I chose to ditch the supercharger because I wanted to get close to the mid 200s in power and with the supercharger that wasn't happening.

After fixing everything with the turbo and painting the flares I have a few things I'd like to look into. Removing my abs is one and I'd like to delete my climate control and set it up to were it's left on defrost and left on heat then just have a fan switch hidden so when winter rolls around I can just turn on the fan speed. If that doesn't work out I'll just remove it and make a plate and then when winter comes I'll install it back in.

Got the flares painted, what do you think of the black hardtop I borrowed from a friend for the pictures?
