    Salem/Beverly (MA) get-together

There's a group of (mostly) VW folks who get together every Tuesday to talk cars and grab cheap beers and burgers afterward. One of the regulars is my neighbor and brought me along a couple weeks ago. Pretty good group, and an eclectic assortment of cars (Plymouth Sapporo, anyone?). Mine's the only Miata at the moment. There's an extensive thread over on another forum dedicated to the Wolfsburg brand. Info below.

Every Tuesday: Burgers & Beers & Cars
Meet at Willows Beach, Salem MA: 7pm. (map)
Then drive to Murphy's Irish Pub, Salem MA: at 8pm. (map)$2.00 burgers(+$1.00 for cheese burger), $2.00 Narragansetts...after 5:00 pm)
    DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE!

EVERY Tuesday? Wow! Since my Miatas are still off the road, I couldn't make it last night, but will try and make one or two. Let's keep this updated.

Every Tuesday during the summer, that is. I didn't make it last night either, the two stroke toy needed its exercise. It was a nice night to burn some premix!

Alright, my car is officially on the road for the season (fingers crossed we get no more snow).

I looked Murphy's Pub up, and they have $2.00 Hamburgers and $1.00 Narragansett beer after 5:00 on Tuesday nights!!!! This just got BETTER!

It's hard to imagine they're making a profit with prices like that! Tomorrow's weather looks not-so-great, but I'll likely be there. Might end up driving the wife's 3. I took the Miata cat out to fix an exhaust leak.

They're mostly all right, but they do talk a lot about "electrical gremlins." I think that's some sort of small animal native to Germany that feasts on automtive wiring.

It was a good burger...and for $3.00 (chezburgr) it was a bargain. I thought I might need two, but they were big.

I corrected the first post in the thread to clear up the times and meeting places...added maps!!

I also drove down to Willows Beach after I left Murphy's to make sure I know where to meet up next time!

Every Tuesday: Burgers & Beers & Cars
Meet at Willows Beach, Salem MA: 7pm. (map)
Then drive to Murphy's Irish Pub, Salem MA: at 8pm. (map)$2.00 burgers(+$1.00 for cheese burger), $2.00 Narragansetts...after 5:00 pm)

That was the good ol' days... I miss my coil overs and that was before my hardtop scratched my roof and I managed to claybar the clear coat right off the car. Lol
