Sad sad day for the miata

Car was acting funny all day ran stupid rich the whole time, next thing you know car shutoff coasting out of track.

Turns out lost compression in cylinder 2 3 and 4 being the lowest at 43psi

Still scratching my head as to why the car started to run super rich

Maybe it is just the timing belt. Double check the crank/cam timing before you open up the engine.
At work we label extreme problems as "opportunities"!

Check the oil, sniff the dipstick. See if it smells like fuel.

Haven’t had the chance to, but will definitely be easy to notice since the oil is fresh

Did an idle adjustment on the ladies car, definitely a lot better and no more idle dip.

Different power steering pump off an nb is also in running order, last one was on its way out and kept chirping so had to be replaced

Also slapped a new sc belt and idler pulleys that had been on stash

    Mariner Blue NA (Daily driven)

Another sweet snap of the bitter sweet moment. Shot by a fellow driver that day

For now the Miata can wait

    Cylinder 3 and 4 are leaking 100%
    Cylinder 2 is at 60%

    3 leaking at the intake
    4 leaking at the exhaust

Next step is to either find a decent 1.6 replacement engine, or do a rebuild on my existing block.

Leaning towards another 1.6 to swap in since it would most likely be short term
