    Hi everyone

I guess I've done enough lurking.

I don't have much to contribute, but I'm glad to be here! This forum is very friendly, from what I've seen.

I'm a college student in San Antonio, Texas. My Miata is my first car, bought by my parents (thanks mom and dad ) ~3 years ago. I've done all the maintenance, save the first two oil changes, that transmission fluid change when I first got it, and a differential fluid change that was obsoleted when I swapped in the Torsen differential. It's a 1.8L, 1996 Montego Blue NA with a little under 94,000mi as of now.

The car is basically stock, with the exception of the roll bar, E-Code lights, 949Racing SS clutch line, and tow hooks. Right now, the goal is to perform maintenance until it's mechanically sound. So far, the timing belt, water pump, clutch master and slave cylinder, radiator, coolant hoses, cam seals, front crank seal, heater hoses, CAS O-ring, valve cover gasket, and probably some other things I'm forgetting have been replaced.

I also autocross regularly with the local San Antonio and Austin clubs.
    Picture time!

First off, welcome to MR! It seems like you have a stable head on your shoulders and enjoy the Miata. You haven't done much to it, but once you start modding you won't ever want to stop. Looking forward to updates and enjoy the car!

Thanks, flippy! I've become very comfortable with my Miata over the last few years, and it's sort of grown close to my heart now.
I love the Spirit Green color, by the way! I've seen your build thread on here (the title actually did pull me in ), and it reads like a fairy tale.

Nice to have you here ueru. I like the car, and it sounds like you are doing all the right things to keep her running properly for a long time. What happened to your front parking light?...Hit a cone?

    Thanks!

And the indicator was popped Saturday; My dad tried to move my car farther into the driveway, but he was using the wrong foot on the clutch and slipped off while in gear, lurching forward into the rear bumper of a Chevy pickup. It knocked out the turn signal and scratched some paint off of the bumper, but I did the same thing to his garage door (right foot on the clutch, left foot outside) when I was setting the ignition timing a couple months ago, so I'm not too upset.

My front bumper has always been kind of wonky anyway, so more reason to replace it, I guess.

    Thanks for the welcome, psulja!

Thanks! I love the blue as well, especially how it looks different in cloudy weather. People always call my car green in person, though...

Thanks guys! Yeah, the bump was kind of bump in the way of a new front bumper, so it's not really a bad thing; opportunity!

And racing is a blast; I have a set of Dunlop Star Specs I use for autocross, but I dare to say it's even more fun on all-seasons. Do it!
