I didn't believe it at first, but it's true. Awesome conversion!

There's a company in Japan doing these conversions...you can find more vids by searching Youtube for "Hakosute"

So, I googled Hakosute, and found that the coupe most likely isn't based on the miata. But, this one is...

Just my opinion, the rest of you are welcome to your own

Miata/2000GT owner: "Hey, check out my car."
Owner's friend: "Oh Duuuuude, you got a 2000-GT??? I've never even seen one in person before!"
Miata/2000GT owner: "Yeah. You like it?"
Owner's friend: "Like it? It's gorgeous! Let me see the engine! How's it drive? What's it's history? WHERE did you find it?"
Miata/2000GT owner: "Well, it's actually a kit built on a Miata, but..."
    Owner's friend: "OH. ................................"

A real 2000-GT would be awesome. So are any number of our well-done Miatas. The Miata/2000GT kit is merely interesting.

Nope. The coupe conversion is a more in depth/deluxe version that they do. Look at the other videos, and you'll see the full conversion process. The coupe IS made from a Miata. I didn't believe it myself until I saw it with my own eyes.

I see Mr. Woolery selling the pit crew to build one of these.

I thought they've been doing this for a while. I remember seeing the conversion for a while.
