I'm interested in selling a sway bar that came with my '95 M Edition. It wasn't installed but included with the sale. I was told by the previous owner that it is a Racing Beat Front Bar. It's circumference is approximately 7.75cm.
Which bar do you all think it is?

Looks like a Racing Beat, but IIRC my RB sway bar has the RB logo stamped on one side of the bar. I'm pretty sure mine isn't multi-hole too. Maybe your's is an older version. And are you sure the diameter is 7.75 cm? Because that's approximately 3 inches, which is bigger than any sway bar on RB's website haha.
I meant to say the circumference is about 7.75 cm, so that would make the diameter about 3.875 cm, right? I forgot that there have been revisions to these sway bars over the years. I might have to send my question to Racing Beat and see if they can be of any help.

it's an older Racing Beat solid sway bar. 7.75cm circumference = ~.9xx" in diameter. The RB solids are 15/16", so the diameter is correct. The three holes are an older design, but still effective. Should fit any 94-97.

Thanks kung fu jesus. I was wrong with calculating the diameter, as you pointed out. To find the diameter you need to divide the circumference by 3.14 (pi). So, 7.75 / 3.14 = 2.47. The diameter of the sway bar is about 2.47cm or .97in.
Technically yes, but there was a slight difference between the 90-93 and the 94-97. I can't remember what is was...I thought it had to do with the way the 90-93 mounted to the frame.

I heard back from Racing Beat...it's likely a Racing Beat rear sway bar produced 10+ years ago. The bars were produced for Racing Beat by Saw-a-way and included three mounting holes. The bars featured a pair of “stopper bushings” and plastic clamps to in an attempt to limit lateral movement in the chassis, but their effectiveness was limited. Racing Beat has since upgraded to a much stronger band-clamp configuration.
Racing Beat said, "If you are interested in sending the bar to us we’ll be glad to add the new stopper bushings, just cover the freight and we’ll add them at no-charge."
I'm not certain on what's fair to ask for something like this. I do want to sell this the way it is now and give the next owner the opportunity to take advantage of RB's offer.

Looks like the typical size for a rear bar is 5/8” OD, which is both an appropriate size for the rear of the Miata and still allows the use of the stock bar clamps and mounting holes. But this bar, a monster 15/16” bar, in a Miata...would likely satisfy a drift happy gentleman, but terrify everyone else.
A drift happy setup would be too much bar in the REAR. I think they got their signals crossed, I have never seen a bar that thick for the rear on a Miata, only the front.

It might not be for a Miata.
I would get under the car and check the front and rear. Like I said, I have never seen a rear bar made that thick for the rear.
