    My Italia's story

Well, there's not a whole lot to tell. My friend in Ohio owned this car for ~10 years.

Looked like this when he bought it:

    blue.jpg

He decided that color didn't really suit the car so he had it painted silverstone, the car's original color. He also installed the 93LE interior, Nakamae center console, painted the tombstone and gauge hood silver.

Engine is stock w/painted valve cover:

Here are a couple shots of the car shortly after I got it home last Fall:

I'm in the middle of installing a new soft top. Not quite finished:

So far I've done a new timing belt, valve cover gasket and water pump. Oh, and driven it a few thousand miles - that's my favorite part of owning this car

Thanks! I had been drooling over pictures of this car for years and was lucky to get it when it became available.

Great looking car, one has just been completed in the Uk with a Mazda V6 engine... stunning piece of kit! I 100% agree about the change in colour, the silver suits it a lot more

I got to fondle this car when Dwight drove it down RT66 many years ago. Pretty sure it was still blue back then. Awesome to see it on the forums again.

ctrench, I have that pic of your car backed under a huge red 4x4 as the wallpaper on one of my monitors

I've seen pics of the V6 Italia in the UK. I wish mine looked that good. And its interior - OMG! Mine has some issues with the front fenders and hood (that's bonnet to you) not fitting as nicely as I would like.

So I wonder which version of revlimiter gauge faces would look good in my car... Hmmm... Funny thing - you sell that special center face to get the headlight motor and air bag lights back. My IL motorsport gauge retained those functions but my car has neither airbags nor headlight motors

Oh, and I still don't have my top back on the car. It's assembled I just didn't have time last night to put it on the car I should be able to get that done on Wednesday.
