    y'know...I was reading about the specs on this thing in Australia. I want the SkyD turbodiesel! It's AWD and has a tow rating of 3800#! The acceleration was the same as the petrol version, too. This thing is enough to tow my Miata on an open trailer.

    A turbodiesel?!? Well im sure if this gets popular stateside some of the tuners will bring some of that to the US aftermarket.

    Yeah, the Skyactiv diesel is coming here, Mazda is using them for racing next year here in states, I think in Grand Am or SCC? No word on which models they will put them in, but I've been watching their models in other parts of the world to get a glimpse of what they might bring here.

    Personally, I like the CX5, but I would love to see the skyactiv D in the 3 5 door. Think about that...compact wagon, albeit FWD, turbodiesel, 6sp auto. 50mpg? Sign me up.

    I've been eyeing the TDI Golf/Rabbit for a while. 4 doors/hatch. I would love to see what Mazda can do with the 3.

    found it! errrr well at least this is a turbo diesel, but this looks like the race car version from that blue car (goes searching for photo)
