This showed up in my FB feed. 5 years ago, went to Irvine C&C with Emilio and William. (L>R) That's Will's clean Fiat, the 949 project car with an NB2 engine swap, Crusher, my car. That was a nice day. I can't believe it's been 5 years!

Put the DIY coolant reroute doubts to rest. I replaced the clamps on the main hose with these SS t-bolt clamps. More clamping surface area, I think the one at the back of the head will be easier to tighten, too.

NA6CE 1992 Form vs Function Build and History

Found these from an old site no longer around when the admin sent me the archived image files. It's my modified Greddy kit. This is circa 02-04.

Fascinating, too, I found a couple of pics Woolery posted when he had his car stripped and repainted. I think this was 03-05? This is his Pitcrew car.

Yup. Remember, he bought the car new in '89. I remember when he stripped it. He had begun lap-jointing the Pitcrew nose and other pieces soon after. He had it painted not long after I moved to California in late '06.

Oh yeah, I know he bought it new. Woolery's Eunons GT is one of the finest examples of automotive dedication to a single car. And easily one of the most well thought out and fine detailed Miata builds.

Every time I find out something I didn't know before about that car the more impressed I am by it and Woolery's work.

I completely agree. He *just* completed the car this last year when he put in the LE interior he bought from CXmoney.

I think Pfunk's car is on par with Woolery's Pitcrew, in terms of dedication and bespoke uniqueness. His interior, engine, and other systems are amazing.

His interior is the finest NB interior I've ever seen.

NA6CE 1992 Form vs Function Build and History

Minor pad/rotor maintenance turned into a major system overhaul. The previous pad wear and caliper condition left some questions. Wound up replacing all the calipers. I don't want to leave this to question with a day at Road Atlanta coming up quickly. Road Atlanta is a fast track with a lot of hard braking, so I want to stay off the barriers. ;)

I will be interested to hear your on-track and off-track braking impressions.

Do you miss having the turbo?

I'm interested too. I completed the 45mph break in. Initial bite and modulation has been surprisingly good so far. I need to try to do a few 80mph pulls on the freeway or I will do it at the first session at the event in the morning at the track.

I was encouraged by what I read from other marque owners, particularly the Corvette guys. The pricing was definitely right. F&R pads were $136. I usually spend that or more on front pads alone. The brakes were ordered online (Rockauto) and I was surprised to find high-temp silicone packets and new hardware (rattle clips and saddles) in the pad packaging.

    Completely flushed the system.

Today I put some finishing touches on the car for this event. New VC gaskets and grommet). I was going to try to put in the Megasquirt, but there is barely 5k miles since the rebuild, so I didn't want to rush it and FUBAR the motor. All in good time.

The forecast is the weather will be mid to upper 80's, decent chance of rain. I take all these events seriously, with respect, but after seeing last year's incident, a participant getting airlifted, I more concerned about getting more proficient with my safety equipment.

This track requires big boy pants, punters stay behind the walls.
