    Go to your local musical instrument store and buy a trombone brush. They're only $5 or so and work perfectly!

    Hard to damage the drain tube as well. I've seen a local club member separate the drain tube from the underside of the drainage tray with a coat hanger.

    I have also witnessed that coat hanger trick!!!!
