Did you paint your brake rotors to match your interior on Kirin? I've been considering it, but I don't know what it'll look like. Seems pretty nice on this rendering.

This one is on our local CL, sounds a bit rough around the edges from the ad speech and some of the pictures: http://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/cto/5177798473.html

1993 Miata LE (Limited Edition) #92 out of #1500 Rare!!

The Miata as you may have already known is a very special car, being rated consistently in the top 10 by Car & Driver. In the spring of 1993, the Mazda created a very special and unique Miata, the 93LE. This "LE" was a limited edition production car, with only 1500 sequence numbered LEs made for sale in the United States. Mazda took a fully loaded B package miata (power mirrors, power-assisted steering, leather-wrapped steering wheel, headrest speakers, cruise control, power windows and a power antenna) and added everything they could think of from a performance and cosmetic standpoint to create the LE.

The convertible top's zip window is broken. The top itself works fine. The car needs a slight tune up.
I've got a lot less horsepower - luckily they are Japanese horses - usually in better shape and more motivated.

I think I'd like a hard top at that price.

I've been eyeing on that Texan LE for a while now. If I don't have a complete LE-Red and BRG-Tan interior set, I would be over that already. But with that money I can also have two complete miata, one SC and the other Turbo w/ cool interiors. Plus I will be crazy to just park that beauty in the garage.

I am not worthy of her status LOL.

    1993 Mazda Miata MX-5 Limited Edition #522 of 1500
    JM1NA3519P1409401

1993 MAZDA MIATA LE, THIS IS A VERY RARE LIMITED EDITION MIATA WHICH WAS ONLY AVAILABLE IN 1993, ONLY 1500 WERE MADE. LOADED WITH FEATURES, RED LEATHER INTERIOR,CD-PLAYER, HEADREST SPEAKERS, A/C, BBS RIMS, ANTI-LOCK BRAKES, POWER WINDOWS, POWER MIRRORS, POWER STEERING, AND CRUISE CONTROL.

This is #522 of 1500. The car is in good condition with the usual dings and scratches for a car that is 20 years old. The car has about 137,XXX miles on it.

New parts in the last 2 years:
New radiator, hoses, thermostat, thermostat housing, timing belt, water pump, valve cover gasket, clutch (Spec Stage 2), flywheel (Fidanza aluminum lightweight), Ralco Short-throw shifter, and clutch master and slave cylinder. Top is in excellent condition (no rips or tears).

    What the car needs:
Emergency brake is disconnected because the rear calipers do not release when the e-break is released.
Front bumper needs to be painted....before replacing the radiator the paint got discolored from an overheating episode.

I also have a spare transmission and the original factory radio for the car.

For more info on the specific model you can google search "miata93le" and click the "Registry" link.

This 1993 Mazda Miata is #25 of 1,500 Limited Edition models with fewer than 20k miles as confirmed by the clean Carfax report viewable below. The LE was distinguished by a number of features like special black exterior with red leather interior and unique exterior and interior finishes. This one is very clean and said to drive like a new car. The OEM optional hardtop is included along with the canvas folding roof which the seller notes is in excellent condition. The stock 1.6-liter is unmodified from stock and everything works including cold A/C. With so many Miata made daily drivers and weekend track toys, the limited production model and low miles make this a special example.

The body is straight and black paint shines nicely, though the seller says it could really pop with a thorough detail. Panels are original except the driver’s side fender, which was replaced by the dealer in 1995 after a minor parking lot accident. This 93LE came equipped with a front air dam, rear lower skirt, rear spoiler and BBS mesh wheels, which are in excellent condition with all four center caps–the cap removal tool is also included.

Despite the car having always been garaged and tucked under an NA specific fitted cover, the rear spoiler’s paint needs some reconditioning and there’s a small ding on one of the doors the seller was unable to capture with a camera. The original folding roof is tear free and the rear plastic window is clean without cracks or yellowing, and is stowed under a red boot cover. Pin-striping is a removable decal that was added at the dealer when new, and the original tires were replaced 2000 miles ago.

The Limited Edition-only red leather interior contrasts nicely with the black paint and is nicely preserved. Aluminum door trim was a unique LE feature along with matching trim on the stereo.

The A/C blows cold and an aftermarket aux-in cable equipped head unit was installed—the original radio block-off plate is included in the sale. Power windows and all interior accessories work. Note the LE-specific leather wrapped Nardi shift knob.

The engine bay housing the standard NA 1.6-liter inline four is tidy with no fluid leaks according to the seller. The drivetrain is stock and said to run and drive very well. Within the last 10k miles, all fluids were replaced in addition to standard maintenance. This model came fitted with Bilstein shocks and slightly stiffer springs for crisp handling, and LEs came with all available options including LSD, power steering and ABS. The seller states the car drives smoothly at highway speeds with no vibrations or other issues.

The car was originally a Valentine’s Day gift given to a wife who did not enjoy shifting gears, which is one reason the miles have stayed low. Since leaving the original owner in 2009, the car has been enjoyed occasionally on weekend drives.

Yep, if it could be purchased for the right price, you could undo all the foolishness and have a really nice (even leaving it modified in some regards) example. I wonder if there's any way to strip all the flames back to black without respraying those panels...

OMG who the heck agreed with the owner that what he did was awesome needs to be "flamed" lol. He has got to have "the' flamed shirt to be inspired like this. This is a custom paint job which means that the poor car needs to be repainted. I say minimum of 4k is needed to get this thing back in shape. If this car was not in this state 7k is a very good buy. If I win the lotto I will save this car or sell.............

    1. Supercharger set-up - $1600
    2. Trunk Wing - $150
    3. Rims + Tires - $200
    4. Steering Wheel - $100
    5. Red hose kit - $50
    6. Meter Face - $50

And try to recoup at least 2k then technically it is doable if the total purchase cost could be lowered to around 5k. How much is a decent paint job?
