Nice. You are a most worthy custodian of the legendary M2-1001 wheel.

Mine are black. The bases are powder coated and the tops are black plastic.

What fwdtamiya said. They came in black, but someone has taken to them with a spraycan.

    +1
OEM: satin black bases with either black or white mirror shells.

If I had an EF, I would definitely hunt a set of those down. I honestly don't even plan to run the steering wheel, it's just a bookshelf decoration.

Vote4Pedro, did you not already have a 1001 wheel?! Hoarding all the M2 parts.

I was looking for a horn button that would fit my retro theme I've got going on with my car and found the one pictured below that fits the bill perfectly. Apparently, it's rare but I'm not entirely sure it is. I'm wondering if any of you may be able to share some information about it. I do know that is evidently came from Japan, but what I would like to know is if it was indeed made by Mazda, what vehicle(s) it was found in, what time period it came from, and is it actually 'rare'.

Thanks in advance for any knowledge you may have.

I purchased a similar one like that from Japan 10+ years ago, however I have no idea if it was an aftermarket item or if in fact it came off a factory car. My guess is aftermarket though.

If you want the original one from the 1989 NA6 and 1gen RX7 it looks like this.
