RetroModern GB: Billet Aluminum Cigarette Lighter Plug

My nb needs the ac knobs now for sure. Piece is wonderful.

Sorry for the nasty cell phone pic but it was the best I could do in my horribly lit garage.

I got mine today as well and it is a lovely piece. The frosted coat looks a little uneven on the top, almost like a fingerprint didn't get cleaned off or something. It is not something you would notice from more than 2 feet away,so I am not upset by it at all. It really is a lovely piece, and I may want another for my secondary power outlet.

My only thing now, is whether or not to paint the outlet trim ring black or leave it as is. The Colors match perfectly, but I don't know if it is too much.

It's really not that bad of an issue. The frost look hides it well, in most light. No worries, I look forward to more of your products!

I'm working on it now. I should have something posted by the middle of next week, if not by the end of the week.

I received my Cigarette Lighter Plug just a few days ago from the first Group Buy. I asked RetroModern to hold this for me and send it out with the Climate Control Knob Kit. That way they could possibly save some postage which was my small way of helping support a new forum sponsor with their new enthusiast driven business venture. As I was waiting for the Climate Control Knob Kit Group Buy to complete, RetroModern caught me off guard and added the Knurled Dimmer Switch Knob to their list of cool offerings, and of course I had to have that too. So now my package got bigger (oh my!), and everything was looking nice and shiny.

I have only installed the Cigarette Lighter Plug so far as I just haven't been in the mood to take anything apart in the last few days. I have shot a couple of crude pictures (that show my embarrassingly beat-up gauge cluster hood - to be addressed soon) so you can get an idea of how it looks installed. It is just a small accent that looks good and doesn't affect the function of the cigarette lighter should I ever need it as a simple plug-in power source.

Looks good! Too bad I use my cig plug to charge my phone whenever I drivetrain car, or else I'd have a plug as well. Maybe in the future when I install my Retrosound that has the built in iPhone charger...
