Love the progress Marlon, hopefully we'll get to see you again at Laguna Seca next year for the 30th. I'm guessing you are going to LOVE the Type R's! Looking forward to more updates...

I'd love to go again but I'm booked to go to Japan on that weekend (Oct. 11-13, 2019) for the Mazda 30th Anniversary at Miyoshi proving ground

Long time no message and a Happy New Year to you. I like the updates on the black roadster. Very similar looking interior to my silver roadster. The auto Zoom centre console is a good idea.

I will be interested to see what you do with the seats as I have the Nakamae seats in my Pitcrew but previous have had the Cobra (I think seats) in another mx5.

You NAILED both of them. It's the first time I see an upholstered Zoom console, and it looks so much better than the original item!! The only thing I would maybe do differently is considering perforated center sections for the seats, otherwise it is damn perfect. What are the base seats you began with?

From research I think they were cobra seats not sure coz I just bought it from a local shop supplying surplus items from Japan. Good thing was they had miata specific railings made by http://www.kawaiworks.com/seatrail/seatrail1051.html

very nice! I see you opted for the leather sides as well instead of leaving it just the metal. I'm tossing up whether I should go the leather route myself...hmmmm

Fitted the I.L. Motorsports hood lift kit primarily for accessibility.

But it really opens up the engine bay, way better view don't you think?
