I've got here a "Dark Silver" 2002 Mini Cooper S (R53 trim) in great shape. For
those new to the Mini Cooper scene, this is a factory supercharged 1.6 liter
engine with a 6-speed manual transmission. It's a fun little car to drive, very
clean inside and out besides one ding on the hood, shown in pictures, and she's
been reliable so far. I have only owned her for a little less than a year but I
find that two small sporty cars just don't make much sense to own. It will come
with the wheels pictured as well as the OEM "Cooper S-Lites"common to the R53
Mini Cooper S.

Pros:
-Incredible gas mileage: rated at 38 freeway,
35 around town. I managed to get consistent 42mpg on the freeway when I kept
cruise around 75-80 from SD to LA.
-Surprisingly roomy: Unlike my other
vehicle, this has 4 seats AND a hatchback trunk. with the seats folded down I
can fit a large load of just about anything inside. I would even suggest the
factory roof rack if you plan to haul even more.
-BMW Comfort: it's clear to
me once I drive the thing that it is in fact a BMW engineered vehicle. The
gearbox is incredibly smooth, the seats are like big, luxurious leather couches
compared to the little roadster seats in my miata. The suspension is factory and
it feels like a luxury sedan at freeway speed. Even the sound system in its OEM
form is pretty intense and has theater quality.
-Fully loaded: This is the
over-the-top option package, equivalent almost to a modern JCW package of its
time. This came with the two-tone leather interior, satellite navigation,
upgraded stereo package, power-everything. The panoramic roof is pretty
impressive and beautiful to drive with day or night.
-Upgraded blue-tooth
stereo receiver: The factory head unit was the only major flaw to the sound
system in that it only played CDs with properly formatted content. It was not
AUX/MP3/USB/Wi-Fi/Bluetooth compatible and was also a little underpowered. I
professionally installed a very aesthetically pleasing and high quality receiver
that accepts any AUX, USB, or Bluetooth device and fits the dash like an OEM
piece. The sound quality is even a bit of an improvement with the higher watt
integrated amplifier from stock.
-Wheel stud conversion: Typical to all BMW
eras, the wheels are mounted with cheap, tedious bolts on a flat flange so that
when you do a wheel/tire change you have to struggle holding the wheel in place
and lining up the holes before threading the bolts in. The bolts are short, hard
to handle and just a pain if you do this kind of stuff yourself. I've converted
the vehicle to studs in the hubs so that you can now align the hubs perfect and
easily every time, as well as use a longer lug nut.

Cons:
-High mileage: This vehicle was purchased by me with just around 190k on the clock. It
is now just over 202k and compression is spot on. The only issue I've had to
deal with is the electronic power steering pump which is known to go about every
75k on these cars. I am a certified technician and di a full leak down and
compression check on the vehicle and it is all within factory
specifications.
-Dinged hood: Upon purchase of the vehicle it had a small
ding on the front of the car, which never bothered me at the asking price and
considering the nature of the purchase I wasn't too concerned with it. Due to
the paint chipping slightly in the area I can understand the concern which is
why the vehicle is priced as modestly as it is. The damage doesn't affect any
components such as the headlight or anything else in the general area.

With everything sold AS IS, clean title, carfax, tags up to date, I'm
asking $6250.00. Please, no trades or any sort of payment plan. I am not an FDIC
Insured financial institution and I don't finance vehicle loans to
strangers.
