That is the exact setup I want to run but don't want to get bumped out of my autoX class.
350mm is pretty much the same size as the stock wheel. Nothing gets obstructed.

Sounds like you need the retainer ring.

+1 on the ring. If your not sure, it's a thin metal ring that helps keep the horn in place.

Mine? Nardi wood, with black spokes. Because it's a '91, I just had to jump the airbag wires to stop the light from going off.

330mm Momo Monte Carlo w/ a spacer on the hub in my NB

330mm Momo Champion w/ Momo hub in the NA

The Monte Carlo feels much better but I prefer the looks of the Champion.

NRG Innovations Flat Bottom Style 320mm Steering Wheel
    purchased over at Gomiata.com

a lot of people don't like the flat bottom but i love it, it also gives me a little extra knee room for cruising down the highway.

The technical term is "D-cut". And I too like that shape of wheel.

    Did this earlier this evening.
Took off the rubbery center on my S-limited wheel. Polished off the raised lettering on the steering wheel bolts and buffed 'em to a shine.
And lastly I used the horn from my Nardi Classic as the original horn button is raised up to meet the rubbery center part.
The plastic on the horn was pretty scuffed so that got a polishing as well.
I think it came out alright.

I have a Momo 300mm (not sure what kind, please tell me) with an NRG Short Hub and 2.0 Quick Release.
I can't see half the gauges but it's so worth it. I love it!

I'm filling in the second M tonight
