That white car with mesh wheels makes me wanna do that stupid lifted hood mod that's detrimental to the car's cooling, looks so badass haha.

I'd wanna get a KG works spoiler, but I've never really been set on it. Maybe buy a dope JDM trunk for that look?
I hope I can pull of the 90's style while still looking classy and clean.

I doubt I'll ever pull the trigger on the MK1's. I love the wheel, but I feel it might be going too car away from what I want for my car. If I do spring for new wheels I'm probably going to buy TE37v's. 14x8 et25 just sounds so tempting...

I used to love the KG Works spoiler, but the more I look at it the less I like it. It has an odd bulgy-ness to it when you look at it directly from the rear of the car. I can't get over it.

Rod's RPS13 is amazing, a great inspiration to me as well, i love that he's running 14s instead of the usual 15 setup, makes me want to trade in my 14s and run 13s just to pull off a similar look.
This is pretty much the build thread post of all that stuff I told you on FB

Rod's car has made me seriously think about selling my Miata to get back into an S-Chassis. I should just stop looking at it. I really like the look of 13's, but the lack of decent tires here in the States is what's stopped me from even considering a set.

Oh dang. That looks pretty damn good.
Bulletproof Automotive distributes Fujimura here in the U.S. and I happen to be friends with somebody that works fro them! This might happen.

    You're the best, Jimmy Vee.

Feel free to take it. I don't think you'd be biting my style. We're just pulling from the same pot. You know just as well as I do that we've been influenced by a lot of the same things.

Now that you post all those pics of silvias and other miatas I have officially given up on my car. You buy old school wheels yet?

This I love. Your car is developing so well. But not sure about the big wing look... Only because I am such a vintage look fan. Either way I love where the car is right now and boy that rear end would be a perfect addition.

    As promised: Update

Before I start, I just want to say all of you guys are really damn great. Thanks, MR.Net.

Now that that's out of the way,

    So, this happened.

After months(nearly 6) I finally got my Garage Vary tail lights installed.

Long story short, it was a lot more work getting these on my car than I thought it would be.

After surprisingly good results with my side mirrors I decided to try and paint the panel myself. This wasn't nessacarily a bad idea, but "good idea" would definitely be a stretch.

I ordered up the supplied and quickly I turned my garage into a makeshift "paint booth".

Result were never "bad", but the perfectionist in my was convinced that I could do better. This turned into me doing a lot of painting, sanding, and more painting.

After nearly a months of attempt to achieve a professionally-like finish, a friend of my offered to help me get my panel professionally finished. My pride took a backseat for a moment, and I reluctantly sent off my beloved GV panel to some unknown paint shop to get what I thought was going to be a "professionally" applied coat of paint.

    I thought wrong.

The finish wasn't terrible, but a few bumps and small chips in the paint had me questioning the paint shops skills.(or lack thereof) Sadly, because it was done as a favor I can't really hold the shop accountable. I guess in this case you get what you pay for. I keep kicking myself for not just sticking with the paint job I did originally.

I don't really have any detailed shots of the damage, but I do have a picture of my next problem. THE FITMENT.

But, I'll get to that in a minute...

I got down to tearing things apart pretty quickly. I believe it was the day after getting my panel back from the butcher shop... err, paint shop. I was really eager to document the installation of my gv panel, but somehow only managed to take a handful of photos of the actual process.

I got everything buttoned up with only a slightly above average level of aggravation. The drivers side fit like a glove, but (given my luck) the passenger side stuck out about half an inch.

    Please excuse the dirt

I was finally able to catch a break. I localized the problem to some misaligned weather stripping from the stock lights. With a little help from my friend Mr. Razor Blade, I was able to get the fitment to what I'd consider "acceptable".

    And the finished product?

    Couldn't be happier.

Now, onto slightly less roadster oriented dealings.

    I got a new camera!

It's a Canon T50 with a 50mm f1.8. My friend found it in his parents garage and offered it to me.

I'm still trying to get my bearings as far as shooting 35mm. It's definitely a lot to wrap your head around.

And to top things off, my family got to together and surprised me with a Wii U for Christmas. Being the huge Nintendo fan I am, I had a bit of a nerd-gasm. Not only do I now have a way to play Earthbound(legally), but Super-Freaking-Smash Bros. YES.

If any of you Houston guys want to play some Smash Bros., hit my up. I'd gladly serve you some ass whoopin'
