    Morr's Simple NA Build

I finally got myself an NA! The first Miata I ever test drove was a Black NA, and I fell in love. I settled for a Silver NB, and the thought of an NA has been in the back of my mind ever since then (6 years ago). Well, I finally got my NA today. I could not be happier! It's a 1990 (originally built in '89) with just under 90,000 miles. It has its imperfections, but it looks great for its age.

Old meets new... er new (to me) meets old.

    Looooooooove that dash!

    Plenty of room for Miatas!

I plan to keep it simple, retro-inspired, and a pure driver's car. I already have some KYB AGX's with Eibach springs waiting to be installed (as soon as blu92 brings them down from PA ) and some Kumho XS I plan to put on my old NB wheels, which I'm also waiting for blu92 to bring down here. First mod I can order and install, hopefully before MATG, is a roll bar. I haven't decided on which one yet though.

The progress will most likely be slow, but I'm gonna do it right this time. I'm focusing on the essentials... handling, interior, maybe power, and more handling. The AGX's will suffice for now

Haha, well the NB is still being parted out, just very slowly . I officially took it off my insurance yesterday and put the NA on. I might put the NB brakes on the NA and maybe the front sway bar until I buy an aftermarket one.

The car was in Ohio at one point. Some little old lady owned it. But I bought it from a guy down the road here in Beaufort, SC.

In recent news, I got the plate transferred over from the NB and got the NA registered today. She's legal! Now the real fun begins

Are you putting the red LE interior into the NA? I know you wanted to keep it for that reason but... red and red...

Nope. All the LE stuff is up for grabs. I might hang onto the lotus seats and get them retrimmed in black, but I'm not sure yet.

I wasn't thrilled with red, but I figure it's the first of the Miatas. Built in 89, Red, and in all its stock glory

    I dunno, I think I'd like red/red. Good enough for a Corvette:

Glad you finally got an NA. Seems like you've been talking about it forever. I looking forward to seeing what you do with it. Red wasn't my first choice for my Miata either, but it has really grown on me. It's amazing how much it catches peoples attention and turns heads.
