Thanks guys! Martin, I'm going to either trade for black ones or reupholster these ones. If you'd like to take them off my hands just let me know.

Thanks! I'm still leaning more towards getting black ones or having them redone in black. They were great on The Dragon, but the red still bugs me. Get an NA! You know you want to

I responded to your post on my CR build thread, but the 1.6 is noticeably slower all around, but I love the overall feel of it so much more. It just feels truer to the whole roadster idea IMO. It was slow as hell on straight aways on The Dragon this past weekend, but it just felt more intimate vs. driving the NB there. I was still bringing up the rear during our group runs (I'm a little more than cautious when I drive spirited), but I was going much faster than last year having a better suspension setup and better tires this year.

Here's a better picture of how the car currently looks, thanks to Bryan for the photo.

I got back from MATG on Sunday and I had a blast. The tires, suspension, and not overheating made this year so much more fun. I'm still slow as hell compared to everyone else, but I did better than last year aside from running out of gas during a downpour at night Thankfully blu92, BLKPEARL, Tekel, and concealer started a search party. The drive ended around 9, and blu92 and BLKPEARL finally found me around midnight.

I'm too lazy to resize the pictures, but here's some I took while there...

This was our security system to alert us if any bears tried to get in our cooler.

    Slow car.

    Chris and Tanner.

    Gerald's NB.

Icky (on CR) I can't remember his real name. I asked him at the beer swap, but...

The party barge at the beer swap. That's Wes' immaculate black NA. You could eat off the engine. Every single inch of the car was that clean.

I might be able to leave Friday after work, but that'd only really give me Saturday and part of Sunday morning to drive. It's about 5.5 hours from me if I don't take any pitstops.

Paul your red na looked so clean. Between the paint job, the bronze nb wheels which look fantastic, and the interior. I can't wait to hang out again and hopefully soon. Thanks for the pic.

Thanks Gerald! Your car was even cleaner in person than in pics too I'm sure we'll see each other at a Miata gathering soon.

I did a few small things tonight. In honor of Ben of Boss Performance, I brought over my vented window with Boss sticker from the NB. RIP, man...

I also decided to paint the base brackets of the STB black. Ain't nobody got time for power tools.

Since it probably isn't obvious yet, I plan to mod this car with all sorts of M2 styling and other simple things. Here are a couple of my muses.

If my seats sell I'll be buying some 1028 mirrors, exhaust, and hopefully a few other things. This build will definitely be slower than my NB build, because I want to do everything right the first time. As for the wheels, I'll probably run the stock NB wheels until the XS are toast. Then I'll pick up some RPF1's or maybe some cool JDM wheels... but if that's the case it'll remain a secret until I get them

I also ended up painting my wheels today. They turned out more of a flat gray than silver, but it's much better than bronze for the time being.

Not sure how I've missed this thread until now. Glad to see you finally got an NA! It looks super clean too.

I'm still jealous of all the MATG fun, one of these years I'll make it down there!

    Keep the updates coming
