    Traded a 240sx for a Miata, and I'm hooked

I'll start with the basics, Name is jarrett, i am 23, Currently living in Johnson City, TN for school(ETSU). I work an office job M-F. I've loved cars as long as I can remember. Probably because both my grand-pa and uncle worked in auto shops, and I spent every second there I could until I moved for college. When I moved to JC I bought my first car with the intent to modify, a 1991 Nissan 240sx SE Coupe. At this point I learned there is no feeling like a RWD car, so I made a vow to always drive one....
After a year I sold the 240sx on a whim, regretted the hell out of it, and spent the next two years trying to find another coupe as original as the first... Failed miserably.
That is until I found a Convertible 240sx that was totally stock and reasonably priced. I jumped at the chance and have been driving it until about a month ago.
This is when i traded flat for a 1996 Red Miata. Initially i traded because the 240sx always felt structurally weak, overweight, and automatic, but it didn't take long for me to realize that i had lucked into so much more. The miata i had gotten felt more responsive and playful than any 240 i had owned. It felt more driver oriented and driving experience focused.
This brings me up to date. Sorry for all the words. (no one likes words) I have had the miata about a month and in that time I have Cleaned it up a bit, Changed the thermostat, gotten rotors and pads, and recently acquired some Yonaka coils.
    I love this car.

I did what I could in the yard on the fly, unhooked all of the hoses on the radiator flushed it and into the block through the inlet. Flushed until it was clear.

I'm not sure about the hole in the seat. I could believe it's OEM though.

As for my plans on the car? For sure keep it mostly stock. First, fix the damage. Other than that I'm not sure yet, the stock motor is strong enough for now. Maybe r-lip. I know that right now my focus is a hard top before winter.

I went from a 240 to a Miata also! I miss my 240 every so often, but I've fallen in love with my Miata. I don't think I could ever get rid of it!

Your gonna love the hardtop, the vibrations you hear and feel around the rear view mirror will be gone. Plus it will be much quieter on the freeway. The aluminum radiator looks nice BTW.

I had two 240s last fall. A wide body track prepped shell I planned to rb25...and a stock shell I was putting a new motor in to missile and street drive. They were not my first 240s lol My truck broke down and I impulse bought a miata at a near by used car stealer. Aside from getting ripped off for a "state inspected" Rusty car, I absolutely love it and will only ever consider a Rusty 240 for a drift missile if I stumble upon a cheap one. Seems to be a trend haha

Thanks! The girl before me did it when her plastic popped. So I lucked into it. I have a friend that has an NB model an his hard top changes the entire feel of the car. It's insane

I would not hesitate to play with another 240 but they are way way to finicky for me to rely on at this point. I have had six at this point and it's always the same issues. So optimistically I'm going for the mazda
