    Center console hidden fastener

Trying to remove the center console cover in my 2001. Appears to be a hidden fastener in the center of the cover under the power window switch assembly. Gentle prying up on the housing makes no progress. How do i remove this housing without damaging it?

I use a plastic panel-removal tool with a wide, sharp edge and insert it in the rearward part of the switch and pry up. Switch comes out no problem and no damage.

Oh and welcome to MR. Maybe you can make your second post in the member intro thread?

Thanks for the tip. I had thought of using a thin putty knife blade, but unsure of whether that would work or where to apply. Followed your advice and got it open, but chipped the exposed edge of the housing doing it. So, a little scarring, but now I can correct the bigger problem.
