Had it polished. Installed the window trim, mirrors, and lip. Just need to get tires mounted on the wheels and the exterior will be complete. Still does not run... just a minor detail. Suspension is not set up yet. Will do that with the correct wheels and tires on it.

The finish line is in sight, but still a couple of weeks away.

Now that Jackson Racing has released information regarding their new CARB approved Rotrex supercharger kits for the Miata, I can resume posting on my build. Most of this has been done for months...

    FMIC

I am setting the charger up to make max boost and will use this to control the pressure in the intake based on what fuel I am using.

Charge piping and other stuff done by our local race exhaust specialist, Hytech Exhaust. Prior to powder coating.

And while waiting on some parts... Sonny does the alignment.

A little setback. Should go into the body shop Tuesday and out on Thursday for a little road trip.

    Parts came in.

I had to modify this brace to clear the oil cooler stuff.

If it goes according to plan, I will have it running today. Put some miles on it, a little dyno tuning, a trip to the body shop, and then a road trip to MRLS.

It's been fun watching this car come together. Many neat ideas going into it. I expect it to be surprisingly quiet and smooth. It's not being built as a buzzy, raucous track car. It's more of a mini GT for long weekend road trips and his long freeway commute. Buttery smooth ride, well controlled NVH, very long gears. Kick ass sounds system.

Sounds similar to why I switched from the Miata to the E30.

This is a very nice build I love all the detail. Im curious as to what you did for back bracing on those kirkey seats. Im installing some next week and I dont know if I should bite the bullet and order something or find a shop that could make them cheaper.

    Thanks for the compliments.

I am too busy to really update what I have done in the last couple of days. Had to cut some corners in order to get it running in time for MRLS. Some of the parts I had purchased before going forced induction no longer fit in the engine bay, but I had to use them anyways since I had no backup plan. Will post more pics when I get done with all 4 cars we are taking.

I am going to use the IO Racing back braces on the seats... but I have not had time to get them yet. My seats are pushed up against the rear bulkhead, this car is not going on track anytime soon, and won't be driven too much before I get around to it. Just one of the corners cut so it could be there.

why did you get rid of the beautiful Fast Forward Engineering intake manifold to install this new one? Is it because the throttle body less option??

Had to look back through the thread to see where that comment came from.

That was a BRP/TRD R3 (maybe) intake. Sold it along with the car about 4 years ago. It was a big chunk of AL. Not sure if it made a difference. As far as I know, FFS had nothing to do with the design of that particular part.
