My buddy owns a 90 with a smooth case VLSD. I understand that they are pretty rare.

Yes, early models..........your buddies could have a build sheet under the carpet, usually on the drivers side, plus other goodies
kinda like easter eggs, that the later models don't have, Golden!!!! I have found build sheets on Miatas up to 1992.
