1993 Miata LE seat cover replacement sources

Okay these are the "available" seat covers for the exclusive LE owners that are in search of seat cover replacement. If there are others out there including your local upholstery please post them here so we can find them easier in the future. Please include the material (leather/vinyl) name, code or info as this is an important part of the finish product.

These are posted in no order just as I found them in my search.

    Ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/400515727090...84.m1423.l2649
There is a leather version of this but I can't find any posting of it. Seller has an uninstalled pic if that would work for you.

Nakamae: I believe the source will be Rev9autosport.com - material is Vinyl

Leatherseat.com: You can also find them in Ebay, http://www.ebay.com/itm/1995-Mazda-M...1936bb&vxp=mtr
From what I was told you can get this in an OEM 93 LE Miata seat configuration but only in all leather. They are currently using "ecstacy cobalt red" leather.

Pic courtesy of "grueinthebox" material is Ecstacy Cobalt Red leather

Pic courtesy of "mk2tmr2" material is Ecstasy Cobalt Red leather

Pic courtesy of "dandy" material is Ecstasy Cobalt Red leather
"good perspective of how close the material is to OEM LE red leather"

Pic courtesy of "medition" material is the discontinued Carmine Red leather

I like the price on that first set but the fit looks a little sloppy.

Check this out. I recently got an old LE door card that I bought for its armrest/door-pull any ways here is the "Ecstasy Cobalt Red" swatch from Leatherseat.com that I laid in between the area where it was covered by the speaker cover therefore was not expose and the area expose to the sun and elements. See how almost perfect the "Ecstasy Cobalt Red" is.

So there you are. Leatherseat.com has the best replacement (quality and color) and the most expensive lol to date that is available. I suspect that as their seat cover gets some exposure it will turn to same LE red as it ages.

Just my observation. Tan leather or vinyl upholstery lightens as it ages and red darkens. But on plastics they both oxidizes which a little heat from either a hair dryer or heating gun can fix.

I have a 1993 LE and have been investigating sources for new seats...Leather Seats has a good product, but they are very expensive ($899 for all leather) and they refuse to match the oval head rest perforations...Their perforations are rectangular, not oval....Now, here's the good news...Look up a company called Interior Innovations...They are a New Jersey company...They offer full leather seats, in a color they call 'burgundy'
which appears to be an exact match to the LE 'wine' color...They will match the oval head rest perforations and their full leather seats are only $345 a pair...I'm sold !
