Not a whole lot this week, just got the radiator positioned under the core support and halfway mounted it. I removed the stock bottom mounts and flipped the lower condenser mounts around. I still need to fab the bracket from those lower mounts to the rad. I also need to put some kind of isolator on the top mounts so they are not too rigid.
Looking bad ass so far!
really nice roadster and the build thread looks great too

Just a couple things this week. Finished the radiator mounting; I decided to use pieces from the stock mounts and emulate that style. I also installed the Mazda Comp heavy duty sway bar brackets and started planning out how I'm going to mount my oil filter and cooler and the routing of the lines.
I wanted to finish my fuel system but ended up redoing the new line I made. I wasn't happy with the area around the fuel filter so I decided to redo it and only was able to replace what I already had, so no net progress. I was able to install a Walbro 255lph fuel pump and should be able to finish it all up my next work day. After all the fluids get taken care of it's on to electrical.
I like where you've mounted the oil filter, awesome spot and I'm going to steal your idea

Not a whole lot going on lately. I did get the fuel line finalized and the oil lines made. Just need to make a bracket for the filter mount, decided to mount it a little different than pictured. Now I'm starring at tons of wires and diagrams trying to get the wiring done and also remove what I don't need anymore like srs, ps and AC.
I'm also trying to find some hoses for the new radiator setup. That's pretty slow going too clicking through hundreds of pics of hoses, but I think I'll get to order all that shortly.
A very good day, it's ALIVE! I decided not to do the full harness thinning and to just hook it up so: #1 I made sure the engine runs like it should and #2 made sure I didn't screw up the harness causing headaches later. There's wires laying all over right now, I just spliced what I needed so I still need to clean it all up when I do the final install. It's still not even a roller, no suspension or even rear end. I'm still wating for the axles/driveshaft/etc. For now I know it runs so I can move on to the rear when those parts get in and also cleaning it all up.
The mic my phone apparently isnt very good, but the open exhaust manifolds were so loud it knocked over my phone when I tried to prop it up to record, so I had to hold it This is actually the second run.
No one really asked previously what the hell I was doing, but it's an 05 Corvette LS2 with V8R pieces.

oh, I am in love. I been wanting to due a LS swap since I bought my first NA.
Looks good...then the 'fun' part comes when trying to tuck away the wires neatly.
Yeah, right now it's a disaster of wires. I just threw everything in and spliced what i needed. Cleaning it all up will be lots of fun especially considering how tight it all is.
Everything has been pulled out again, getting the engine bay ready for welding and paint.
The old and new all tucked away.
I'll try to document the swap process a little better during the final install.
Absolutely sick build, I can't wait for some more updates.
Merry xmas to me, a new Nardi 350 deep corn suede from the wife
I got the engine bay prepped to weld. A tip for anyone doing their swap, clean all the metal prior to reshaping it. After beating it all up widening it it's much more work now that it's not smooth anymore. Then folding it over itself it, it's hard to clean the edge.
Not very pretty, but I'll clean it up a bit after welding and prior to paint.
So updates will probably slow down again. I had a goal of finishing by the end of the year but now that it's been missed I'm going to be pretty busy out of the garage again.
I got everything mostly welded up, just need a bit more work on the interior trans tunnel braces. So I need to put on some seam sealer and do a final prep for paint.
In the meantime, I got the drivetrain parts in. After a mixup in shipping, my V8R stage 2 kit arrived. It's for my Getrag differential out of a 08 STS-V with 3.23 ratio and limited slip.
Need to get that set up after paint. It'll probably take a month to get these next 2 things done
