copied and pasted from Mazda's Facebook page on my newsfeed:

    "【News Release】
Mazda Reveals 25th Anniversary Edition MX-5 at New York Auto Show
    - Also debuts the newly developed chassis of the next MX-5 -

Mazda will unveil the Mazda MX-5 Miata 25th Anniversary Edition today at the New York International Auto Show. The special edition model was created to celebrate 25 years since the launch of Mazda's iconic roadster, the Mazda MX-5 (known as Mazda Roadster in Japan). Also today, the automaker will reveal a newly-developed SKYACTIV-Chassis that will be used in the upcoming next generation MX-5.

by the way, does anyone know where we might be able to get the 25th Anniversary stickers? i want one. i'd rather not have to save the image and send it to a vinyl sticker company, because it's less special if it didn't come from Mazda themselves lol.http://www.roadster25th.com/news/index.html

Looks good, but I really can't do that light interior, would have to swap out the seats.

The chassis looks cool. I think the white leather seats is reminiscent of the rare M2 versions of the miata's.

I agree, they aren't looking for usability today, but the "uniqueness" as a future collectable. How rare, and sought after are the M2 cars? These off white seats will be harded to find than hen's teeth, 5 years out. Heck, I would buy an extra set just so I would have a spare in case something happens to the originals.

So...why are there four digits? And if there is only 100, then are they counting to 99? Or are there actually 101?

i think only 100 is reserved for the US; the rest of the may be elsewhere. i think i read somewhere that said 1500 in total, but don't quote me on that.

Ah, you're right I wonder if they will actually be numbered sequentially, 1-1500, or if we'll get our own 1-100

Met Bob Hall and Tom Matano...nice guys and loved the fact that Mazda invited a group of Miata enthusiasts to attend...if anyone goes to the Javits center for the show, be sure to stop by the Mazda display...there is a running slide show at the front of the display...had 14 pics of my friend's V8 car mixed in..the Fireball Run car..Nadine
