    Edit: The engine shown is the Fiat Multiair, not a Mazda engine

    I suppose since it's a test mule it doesn't guarantee that the turbo will make it, they could be experimenting with several engines, but it would certainly be nice.

    A turbo would be so... LOGICAL. I have no idea why they (auto manufacturers) bother with crazy compression ratios and direct gas injection at 500psi when they could just have a small turbo on every small car's engine.

    Because turbos are awesome.

    I have a feeling Mazda will stick to the N/A platform for the engine package. That will most likely be the engine package for the Fiat version. After all, the VIN is "Chrysler".
