-Bought a clean silver fender, gonna see how some touch up paint in a spray can matches up soon.
-Martin sent me some interior bits for free that will arrive soon <3
-Mr.Bacon sent me some Jaaaaaaaggggggg speaker grilles that will be here soon
-Mr.Bacon also sent me a wood knob and e-brake handle
-M2 1028 center carpet and tombstone went in

So, I've been contemplating whether or not to do this mod. I thought it would clash with my interior and was waiting to buy a complete black interior, but I seem to have fallen for my tan interior. It's such a rare part and I didn't want it sitting around in a box any more, it deserves to have it's time in the sun. It actually matches quite well with my black floor mats and the black on the dash. My camera-phone and the current lighting didn't agree. My white shift knob is ugly anyway, so sorry, here is what you get.

I can tell you it makes me happy just to have it in there, whether it may clash or not. The whole interior looks so much more streamlined and it feels like there's a lot more space, I love it.

Since this picture the knob has been replaced with a nice wood one.

And I installed the Jag grills to the tan door pieces Just waiting on the speakers to arrive now and I'll be over 300% happier with my interior

    Thanks guys

A used RetroModern oil cap got dropped off today. The dome's peak is a bit hazy/scuffed after denting up and beating around it's container for an unknown number of miles. But it still looks good

So, I got some speakers, ran into the same problem I had with my old speakers and decided to see if I could modify my old ones to work. The new ones sounded worse anyway. I removed the adapters, cut and straightened the metal lips around the edges of the speakers and then drilled some new holes in them. Yay, no door drilling!

    before and after

    so much better <3

I'm happy with my interior for now. But now I need to fix my passenger window and find a place to mount my power window switch.

Did I mention I bought myself a present 3 days ago? I don't know how I ever worked on cars without a drill. This thing is a sexy beast

If you like that cordless drill, save up and get a cordless impact driver for the lug nuts, so worth it.

I thought about getting the Bostich drill/impact set that was only $30 more for both, than the Hitachi was alone. But I had heard good things about the Hitachi and it has a lifetime battery warranty. Looks like the bare impact driver is another $90, so it will be a little while.

I did, but I haven't even taken the wrapper off yet. I have a lot of sanding to do on the spare fender and I've been taking on smaller projects in the mean time.

Were you at KINOD or the Project G BBQ last week? I think I saw your car but I can't remember where and I also don't remember if we've ever met. I mean, I know you're Ben, but I don't know if I've met a Ben recently.
