Even better that I didn't go for ripped seats, the outcome looks amazing!

No big update but I got around to fitting the new side markers I got from the parted out Zoom car. Personally I love these, it's smaller diameter looks great and luckily barely fits over the OEM indicator cutout on the fender.

Will do! With cars like the Blue Potato, ZOOMX5's and your car, atank, I feel like I have a certain reputation for LB cars I need to uphold haha!

A new package came in today from Adam @ Revlimiter.
I feel like vent rings are almost obligatory for any good roadster so I went with Adam's Polished set. Being a fan of them for a while I never could quite stomach the 25$ shipping costs so I took advantage of my Mom being over in LA (flight attendant) and had a set sent to her hotel.

Thanks for the well packaged goods and my two new friends above the stickers, although I have no idea where they are to go.

Here are a couple of snaps with them on the car!

Admittedly I'm not entirely sold on them. The rings themselves are nicely made and have a great finish, but, I feel like they take the center stage of the interior whereas I want the steering wheel, handbrake and shift knob to be the main focus. I'm considering getting some black gloss or black wrinkle rings from Adam in hopes it gives the subtle touch I was looking for from the rings.

    Any opinions?

I think the rings look fantastic in your car. Not distracting at all in my opinion.

Thanks for the opinions guys, the general consensus from everyone I've asked is that they look good, actually not a single person has agreed with my point of view so that says something haha

I threw on a couple coats of clear onto the wooden handbrake lever that I picked up a week back. It doesn't match the steering wheel perfectly so I'm considering starting over and sanding a whole lot more in hopes for a better finish but for now I'm going to let it sit for a week at least to see if I get used to it. I also polished the steering wheel after the photo was taken so it doesn't look that grimey now.

Another package came in the mail for me today, inside were SSR MK1 center caps! I bought them from a guy in NZ for $30 shipped, they come oxidized and worn which I imagined would match my Mk1s quite well. Problem is they don't fit very well in the center very well and had to widen the alloy and wedge it into the center of the wheel.

They really complete the wheel and I'm happy with the purchase.

YAY! The vent rings made it!! Super glad about that. And with the polished steering wheel, I think they match quite well. Not at all out of place.

If I may be so bold... the shift knob you have looks quite modern to me. To me, it looks out of place with the vintage wheel. One with more rounded corners (a Joyfast or even just a ball shifter) might look just perfect. And again, just my opinion.

Yes, thank you again! I have been toying with the idea of a different shifter setup but I am not a fan of the joyfast knobs. The only reason I have stuck with this Garage5 one for this long is that I don't know what to replace it with, it is a nice piece though especially with the shift extension.

I'm thinking of having a larger extension with a Suichuka (水中花) shift knob at the end

Skinnyroadster's NA interior is so cool!

Small parts update, yesterday I picked up a complete air con setup for my car, came out of a friend's NA6. Also got a complete softop and frame for $50 which I'm going to use the front bow for the bikini top down the line, lastly an R-Package rear lip which I fitted today as well as removing the mudguards from the rear.

The cars looking great. I think I like laguna blue & tan more than brg & tan

Have you had any attention from the police with the number plate like that? I think I'd be getting pulled over 5 times a day if I tried that over here.

Thank you! I love tan with pretty much any colour

It's only for show or very short drive distances. My car is fairly subtle and haven't gotten any cop trouble yet but If I got pulled over I would get fined for a lot of things

Looking awesome. How did you know what center caps to buy? I bought some for my MKIII's awhile back and it seems they were the wrong size (I measured before ordering!).
