I have to say, this confuses me. Be careful with speed-bumps and let us know how this functions after some real world driving experience.

It serves no functional purpose but it is a style cue from 80s Street Racers in Japan, which is my main influence
A couple pictures of other slit spoilers on cars HERE and HERE

    ---

I recently sold my Runabout S800 mirrors as I wanted to stray from the old english roadster influences on my car and focus more on the 80s Racer theme mentioned above. That means a new side mirror and here they are

Californian by Vitaloni. HERE and HERE are some images of inspirational period style road racers (also notice the inclusion of a chin spoiler, TRAP is definitely a future purchase)
Have been told these are genuine Vitaloni mirrors but I don't know what the tell tale signs are to prove otherwise, but they look pretty good in hand

and pretty great on the car

Joel, just so you know while my attempt may have been lame, I was simply trying to convey a sense of caution in running the proposed spoiler. My concern would be scrapping and possible damage to the bumper. If the spoiler has any weight at all to it, if it catches on a curb, it will put stress on the bumper which could result in more damage than simply losing some paint and gaining some scratches.

The mirrors look cool. Any plans to paint them or do you plan to keep them the contrasting black?

Thanks for that Dandy, I haven't thought of a way to mount it yet, it is surely too heavy for the rear bumper. Haven't really had a good look under the car to determine how I will do that

I love the look of them colour matched with the body, the R-PKG lip will also have to be colour matched with it.

Small parts update, I managed to score an extremely rare digital tachometer made by Car Mate Japan (Cartron in this particular case) for about 90usd, normally these go for quite a bit more on YAJ and since this was bought here I evaded any shipping fees. Currently it doesn't work very well, either the wire that connects to the cluster to read the tachometer is damaged or the connection on either end of the wire is bad as it will intermittently cut out then start reading revs then cut out or when it is reading revs it slightly flickers as if it wants to cut out again.

I have also converted the car to single wiper arm and started proper work on the Vitalonis to get them fitted to the car. Decided to epoxy the base to the mirror since the original mechanism adjustments will in no way work on it.

oh and bought a 100mm trap lip.

For reals, Make that rear spoiler work. I always thought something like that would flow well with the styling of the miata. As well, you make me want a trap lip!

Thanks guys, the spoiler needs a fair bit of work and also a solid mounting point but It needs to get done soon.

The trap lip is such a good look for you! I think a trap rear spoiler would be cool as well. But the rear under spoiler visually looks to "heavy", I think it could work on a different roadster, but not yours.

    I bought some more wheels! More Hoshino Racing D-01s, I now have 7, 4x 14-7.5j -1 3x 14-6.5j +11.
I will be sending one pair of 6.5j to Pine Engineering in New Zealand who specialize in wheel widening, I plan to have them widened to 8.5j -14ish

I also colourmatched my TRAP lip, mirrors and reflectors (I am using unpainted indicators currently)

And finally my girlfriend bought me these as a present for our 6th year together, so awesome!

That sounds excellent! Pretty much exactly how I would want mine to sound as far as the time spacing between each horn. I have heard horns that sound really terrible..
    This is ideal
